Why should you wear a helmet?

Wearing a helmet is essential when bike riding and skating as it protects your head from injury. By wearing a helmet you significantly reduce your risk of brain damage when you take a tumble, while it will not eliminate this, it can lower the severity of the injury as the helmet is taking most of the impact as opposed to your head. If the impact is severe enough, you risk some serious brain damage or even death. So, wear a helmet, you're not invincible.

Why should you wear safety gear?

Properly equipping yourself with items like helmets, shin/elbow pads, thick clothing, etc. will significantly reduce the impact received when you fall off a bike, skateboard, skates, scooters, etc. They can reduce the risk of injuries such as a torn ACL (anterior cruciate ligament), broken elbow, road burn, or a cracked skull.

Cambodia, Siem Reap A two-year-old girl was eaten alive by crocodiles after she left home alone to play on her parents' crocodile farm. The girl fell into a crocodile enclosure and her skull was found by the girl's father. Local police confirmed that crocodiles killed her, and her father only found her skull in the enclosure. She was left alone with her mother, who had recently given birth to another child and had lost contact with her while she was caring for the newborn, police said. The parents built a fence around the crocodile pit, but the gaps were small enough for the children to climb through.

An iceberg is a large mass of ice that has broken off from a glacier or ice shelf and floats in open water, usually in the sea. In this case, the iceberg is used as a visual way to present information, trivia, or data on a particular topic, organized hierarchically, reminiscent of the structure of an iceberg. On the surface are the most basic or widely known pieces of information about the topic. As you descend through the layers of the iceberg, the pieces of information become deeper, more specific, obscure, or surprising. The idea is that most of the topics with interesting and lesser-known trivia are "submerged," just as most of the mass of a real iceberg is below the water's surface.

Who is she?

Rorochan_1999 was the online alias of a 14 year old girl, who seemed to struggle with a variety of mental health issues, and she appeared to be quite lonely. She started livestreaming on platforms such as FC2, Niconico, TwitCast, and Ustream in 2012. She would do a variety of things like studying, singing, dancing and playing the piano and is even rumored to have streamed herself running in the middle of traffic, avoiding speeding cars or standing on the edge of tall height buildings. There were many implications of neglect, so she used the internet to escape. She lived a double life of being a normal middle school girl, to being a streamer behind closed doors, family and friends unknowing.

Archive 1: Livestream from Nov 1, 2013

The video starts with her playing "Rudolph the red nosed reindeer" on the piano. She plays a variety of different notes, some are even disturbing to listen to, hearing the distress in the way she played. According to a native Japanese speaker in the comments of an analysis video of the situation, Roro was singing a song from the anime Minky Momo, an anime knowing for a dark ending where the protagonist died via a car crash despite it being a kids show. Rorochan_1999 had the character as her profile picture. After she sings the song from the anime, she appears to read the comments of the livestream and then shortly after have a mental breakdown. She seems to be repeating the word "daite" over and over while laughing or crying. "Daite" directly translates to hug/hold me, however with the Japanese language, context of situations change the meaning of things said. While it is speculated she was repeating "mother, hold me", that same native Japanese speaker discussed what she was saying toward the end was actually likely to be sexual in nature. She had purposely labeled her livestreams sexually as well.

In the video, she has a bag over her head to hide her face. She is seen recording herself in a mirror and wearing a robe while whispering things. She is seen hyperventilating and swinging her head furiously around the camera in a disturbing strange manner.

Her final and suicide livestream : "暗黒" November 24th, 2013

At 2:44 in the video, she stands on a trashcan, and is about to jump. We see the very tall fall in front of her. She throws her phone as she jumps. We are not able to see her jump off, but you can hear the loud sound of her hitting the ground shortly after.

Nobody saw Rorochan jump. She had jumped around 3 am, and was discovered by a female newspaper carrier within 5-10 minutes. Her body was still warm and her body was still fully in tact, her mask was hanging from one ear, one shoe was on the ground next to her. Police arrived within 5 minutes and she was pronounced dead at the hospital about 3 hours later. She did not leave a note.

I researched for hours and both fortunately and unfortunately, her name was never publicly available due to her age, and is heavily debated about online. I think it may be for best that we are not aware of her name, for the protection and wellbeing of her family. However she has been referred to as "A". There was no implications that she was bullied, a female student who she was close with said "I don't know why she committed suicide so suddenly" and students from her school said there was no signs of trouble presented otherwise.

Unfortunately there were many sick individuals in some of these chat logs that were speaking sexually to her, asking her to flash, asking her to go back to her room to preform NSFW activities and more. The things that were said are truly sick.

She often stated in past livestreams or on websites such as 2chan that she wanted to "become a legend". She discussed her plans and how she wanted her death to be unexpected out of a girl like her.

The rising popularity of this case

On Jan 8, 2020 a music video was released with the title, "Shinsei Kamattechan - Ruru's Suicide Show on a Livestream Official Video (Animation)" was released. "Ruru" is the character presented in the music video, the translated lyrics consist of talking about suicide, and how the internet destroyed her. It is unclear whether or not the song is dedicated to Rorochan or not, but it is a song dedicated to suicide victims in general.

After this song rose in popularity, the case of Rorochan's suicide was publicized and brought up again. She did in fact, "become a legend". Other than her vague postings about it, her motives are unclear as to why she committed suicide. Rest in peace, Rorochan.

I'm not sure on the details because it has just happened but it looks like there was at least 5 perpetrators, and an explosion occurred. One of the perpetrators is deceased, others have fled via vehicle and Moscow is closed off. Reports that around 133 victims are deceased. 10 of which were found hidden in the bathroom (suspected death by smoke inhalation). It seems that the US embassy had given a warning for citizens to not be grouped up in an enclosed space. This rings alarms all around for the circumstances of this shooting. The Islаmic State is claiming to be the attackers.

This post is meant to bring awareness to what its like to lose someone to suicide. If you're considering suicide, please think of your loved ones and reconsider. It is never the answer.

I'm posting this because a user on this site has taken her own life yesterday, and I'd like to give information that may help others going through the same thing. If you don't care or want to say something unkind, please have some morals and keep them to yourself. This is intended for those who have or still deal with suicide. I am still in a state of shock, so please forgive me if my wording isn't the greatest.

Today I received the worst news possible. My best friend, also known as @PurgeQueen666 on this site, committed suicide yesterday.I did everything I could to reach her, and when I couldn't I reached out to some of you to help me find information that could help. Thank you for everyone who assisted me in getting more information. I called her local sheriff's office and asked for a welfare check, only for them to tell me they already responded to a call and found her unresponsive. I called up her family and offered my condolences, and I'll be attending the funeral in a couple weeks. She was such a sweet and kind person but she struggled a lot with bullying and harassment. She would frequently talk about the things people would say to her and it would break my heart. Words hurt way more than you could ever imagine. The day before she took her own life, I managed to talk her off the ledge of suicide. She had told me she tied a noose and had it around her neck until I texted her. I encouraged her to get rid of it and to call someone, anyone. She refused, and I should've known she'd end up using it. The last thing she said to me was "I have to get ready for work, I appreciate you (my real name)". I had no idea she was going to end her life right then and there, but looking back, I saw the signs. If you or anyone you know is dealing with suicidal thoughts/suicidal ideation please reach out and get help. Suicide is never the answer and leaves the ones who love you lost and broken. Please call someone and receive help if you or a loved one are dealing with suicidal thoughts or behaviors.

This world didn't deserve you, and I'll always have you in my heart. I don't believe in an afterlife, but if you're out there somewhere please know I did everything I could to help you. I love you.

Posioning is when exposure to a toxic substance makes you sick or harms you. Many different substances are toxic to humans. A few examples include heavy metals, certain gases and even some plants you encounter while gardening. Poisoning often happens suddenly and accidentally. For example a child might eat the wrong thing, or you might splash a harsh cleaner into your eye.

Common household items that could poison children:

• Cosmetics and personal care products

• Cleaning substaces and laundry products

• Pain medications, both prescription and over-the-counter (OTC)

• Topical prepartations like rash creams

• Plants

• Antimicrobials like antibiotics

• Foreign bodies such as toys and toy parts, coins, and thermometers

• Pesticides

• Vitamins and supplements

• Antihistamines (Anti-Allergens)

Always treat poisoning as a medical emergency because the effect may worsen over time!

Different Types of Poisoning

Toxic Gases:

Inhaling toxic gases, either knowingly or unknowingly, commonly poisons a large number of people every year. Two of the most common gaseous poisonings are carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. Carbon monoxide is a natural gas that comes mostly from combustion (When something burns). In a typical household, poisonous gas emits from fireplaces, grills, and automobiles. Carbon dioxide is another natural gas, but not as toxic as carbon monoxide. It occurs naturally in the air that everyone breathes, and only causes harm if inhaled in concentrated doses. Both gases are odorless, colorless, and tasteless.

Chemicals:

Children are mostly victims of chemical poisoning. These chemicals are in everyday household items, such as household cleaners, laundry detergent, pesticides, industrial chemicals, and pretty much everything else under the kitchen sink. Ingesting different chemicals cause different symptoms, but ingesting too much of any of them can be fatal. Making yourself vomit is the best way to get rid of the compound and prevent it from doing further harm, but call The Emergency Center to reserve a room and go to the facility immediately.

Food Poisoning:

Anybody can become ill from food poisoning. Food poisoning occurs when someone consumes contaminated foods or undercooked meats. They may also be the result of a national food recall, which is not that unusual. Foodborne illnesses are common in the United States and generally cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, sweating, and chills. Most of the time, the disease will last for a few days. However, the illness can become fatal, depending on the severity of the condition, and different factors such as age, and health. There is no cure for foodborne illness, but over-the-counter (OTC) medications can normally prevent or hinder the symptoms.

Medication:

In 2022, there were over 109,000 overdoses in the United States (All time record). While some overdoses are cases of suicide, others are accidental. If a person does not know their dosage or does not know they are allergic, an overdose can be fatal. Children must stay away from all forms of medication at all times. If someone is suffering from an overdose, they must induce vomiting to get the drug out from their system. They must also go to the emergency room. Currently, the country has a severe opioid crisis. There are many forms of opioids in this country, and all of them are highly addictive. I suggest carrying Naloxone/Narcan

Animal Bites/Stings:

Several species in the world have the capability of poisoning a person, either through a bite or a sting. Snakes, bees, certain frogs, and fish can produce venom that is capable of causing fatal injuries. In most cases, antivenom can reverse the effects of these animal attacks. If an individual suffers from an animal attack, they should seek immediate medical attention.

Fun Poison Facts:

Rat Poison is beneficial to those with certain health conditions, and you or someone you know most likely takes it! Warfarin is a blood thinner just like rat poison and can be used to help with certain conditions, the dosage is the only difference.

Water Poisoning, or Water Intoxication is when someone drinks too much water decreasing the sodium levels in there blood dangerously low.

When cleaning you could accidentally make Mustad Gas, which would be lethal to inhale, by combining bleach and ammonia based cleaners.

If your car is left running in your garage for too long it could be fatal to walk in due to the Carbon Monoxide build up.

Similar to cars, Potato's can build up a toxic chemical called Solanine in the air if stored in an unfiltered area, such as a cellar or cabinet. Solanine could knock you unconscious or even kill you.

Factors that effect the severity of poisoning

• The amount that enters your body This ones a given, I mean even our body has small amounts of DMT being made.

• The type of poison Certain types of poison cause mild symptoms that go away with at-home care. Other substances are more likely to cause severe illness, and should be cared for at a hospital.

• How it enters your body Poison can enter your body through skin, mouth, nose, eyes, genitals, and ass. The more direct it enters the inside of the body, the worse the effects.

• How long you're exposed to it A poisoning can be either acute or chronic. An acute exposure might just be seconds or minutes. A chronic exposure involves long-term exposure to a poison. Chronic exposures often happen on the job, especially in mining, factory settings or agriculture; or at home where there could be a leak or toxic materials.

• Factors unrelated to the poison itself (Age, Overall Health, etc.)
