good day everyone.
i requested the grass award so i could take a break so i could focus on some personal work.
i could however not disappoint with my comeback. so here are some follow up pictures of me going out.
cookies anyone ?
for about 100pcs
12oz/350g flour
9.5oz/270g butter
6oz/175g white sugar
1.5 small spoonful of baking powder
a little bit of salt
3.5oz/100g chocolate chips black
1 egg
3g gingerbread/cookie spices
weigh the flour and put it in a bowl for mixing
weigh butter and place in pot to melt
weigh sugar and add to butter when it has melted
add baking powder to flour
mix half a teaspoon of salt with flour
ad cookie spices with flour and mix
let the butter cool and add the egg (so you don't bake the egg)
mix everything together in mixing bowl
add chocolate chips IF it has cooled down enough (otherwise chocolate will melt)
preheat oven to 400°f/200°c
roll balls no larger than €1 piece
set oven to 300°f / 170°c
bake for 15-17 minutes
cookies may come out a bit soft, but this is normal
i originally wanted to request the grass award a bit sooner because i wanted to take a break and possibly quit wpd. mainly because the voxtek drama was eating at me. link1 link2

The 1955 edition of the 24 hours of Le Mans was a sports car race that soon turned into horror after the driver Lance Macklin's Austin-Healey tried to avoid hitting the Jaguar of the driver Mike Hawthorn, moving to edge of the track where Pierre Levegh was, hitting his rear, making Levegh lose control and head flying to an earthen embankment causing his death and other 83 spectators' and wounding 120 others. The search for Jürgen Conings was a search operation for the Belgian soldier Jürgen Conings, after he stole heavy weapons from the Leopoldsburg barracks and then disappeared.

Jürgen Conings was a chief corporal in the Belgian Air Force and a shooting instructor. During his career, Jürgen specialized as a marksman and deployed in foreign missions in the former Yugoslavia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Lebanon, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Several of Jürgen's colleagues said that he hated Marc Van Ranst, a virologist who advised the government on the Corona measures. Because of Van Ranst's politically left-wing ideas and prominent presence in the media, Van Ranst was often the target of the right-wing and Corona skeptics. Jürgen had threatened Marc Van Ranst on social media several times (no proof found). In 2020, he received two disciplinary sanctions for his behavior and threats to Marc Van Ranst. For this, he was demoted to weapon carrier, which gave him the key to the weapons depot. With this key, he would later take weapons from the depot.

Jürgen did not come home from work in the army. Instead, his wife found 2 notes. Jürgen left behind two farewell letters in which he opposed the Corona measures. In these letters, he threatened "an attack against the regime and against virologists". In addition, he left a suicide note addressed to his wife and child. The second letter was intended for the army and the outside world. It said: "You trained me to become who I am, now I'm going to use that against you." It was found that Jürgen stole 4 M72 LAW rocket launchers, a FN P90 machine gun, a FN Five-seveN-pistol, a bulletproof vest, and more than 2000 magazines of ammunition from his position in the barracks. The media quickly took up on this story and labeled jurgen as a right-wing extremist. from here on out there would be left-wing marc supporters, and right-wing jurgen supporters.

A manhunt was started.
The Ministry of Defense in Belgium was informed of Jürgen's disappearance and started a manhunt. His suicide notes were discovered by his girlfriend and passed on to the police. During a crisis meeting of all security services, the threat level of Jürgen on the OCAD list (Coordinating Body for Threat Analysis list) was raised to level four. Due to the previous threats Jürgen made against the virologist, Marc Van Ranst was relocated to a safe house. The car that Jürgen left behind, an Audi Q5, was found by a forest ranger on the edge of the Dilserbos in Dilsen-Stokkem, close to the Hoge Kempen National Park.

The car contained four M72 LAW rocket launchers, phosphorus grenades, a bunch of bullets and a backpack full of food. A tripwire mechanism was also found in the car. The Office for the Disposal and Destruction of Explosive Devices (DOVO) was called in to defuse and investigate the mechanism and had completed its report. DOVO concluded that the mechanism was a trip flare or light trap. DOVO described in its report that the possible consequences of the trip flare going off in combination with the ammunition and other materials found in the car were very difficult or even impossible to estimate. It said, “The chance of a serious fire with additional explosions cannot be ruled out.”

The government closed the Hoge Kempen National Park. On Wednesday, 3 gunshots were heard, which appeared to come from the national park. The Belgian army carried out several sweeping actions (line searches) through the park, without results. Authorities believed Jürgen was heavily armed and hiding in the park.
The E314 highway from Genk to Maasmechelen was also closed in both directions. The Belgian army was accompanied by the German elite unit GSG 9 and Dutch and Luxembourgish troops. All this achieved no results. Multiple police units were deployed as seen in the video's.

Investigators were aware that Jürgen might have been following the news about him. They planned to spread a message asking Jürgen for his surrender. In this video, watch how much manpower they had to catch one man.

The police carried out ten house searches of far-right individuals searching for Jürgen's whereabouts.
May 27
A new search began near Lanklare, where the car was recovered. This time, the search was only carried out by domestic troops. A small portion of the national park was closed to the general public. The operation was a targeted search, unlike previous sweeps throughout the whole national park. A search was conducted in three zones, but nothing turned up.
May 29 to June 10
New searches took place again in Lanklare. About twenty police and military vehicles were deployed, as well as a police helicopter equipped with a heat cam. On June 9, they found a backpack containing ammunition and medicine near Jürgen's abandoned car. Some of the ammunition found in the backpack matched the firearms stolen by Jürgen. But other ammunition had been used for a shotgun, raising suspicions that he may have had more weapons in his possession than first suspected.
Food supplies were also found in the backpack. Empty cans of food used by the military were found near the backpack, indicating that Jürgen was equipped to live in the woods for weeks.
Finding the body

The lifeless body of Jürgen Conings was found in the Dilserbos. not by the police, but by the mayor of Maaseik 
, who, during a casual mountain bike ride, just smelled the corpse (despite all the police searches). The mayor informed the police about this. A hunter also smelled the corpse and went to investigate. He found the body and made a short video about it.
The autopsy by the public prosecutor's office showed that suicide was the cause of death.
The same day, virologist Marc Van Ranst returned to his home after his stay at a safe house for the duration of the manhunt. coincidentally also on his birthday.
However, Jürgen's family had doubts about the cause of death due to their belief in unproven and debunked conspiracy theories and therefore tried to prevent Jürgen' cremation through a bailiff in order to subject the body to a second autopsy. However, the court forbade this. Jürgen was cremated on June 26, 2021. His family then stopped the legal proceedings to take a period of rest.

After the mayor had found Jürgen's body, he contacted a local hunter to verify. This hunter made video evidence of Jürgen's dead body. A journalist from the German newspaper Bild got word of this and reached out to the hunter. The hunter let the journalist put his email address in his mobile phone, but the latter took advantage of the moment to email the video to himself and publish it. The hunter was not prosecuted for distributing the images, but received a fine of €2000 and 1 month of jail time for disturbing the peace of Jürgen's grieving family.

The many sightings 
The federal police received at least 185 tips about Jürgen Conings, and many people claimed to have seen the missing soldier. these were all of course very real and very serious.
The Brussels North Station was evacuated on Sunday evening, May 23, because a traveler thought he had spotted Conings.
In Sint-Niklaas, police went on a hunt for a man in a camouflage suit, whom a witness believed had a gun in his backpack. It later turned out to be a fisherman with a fishing rod.
In Evergem, a student claimed to have seen the missing soldier. Three schools in Evergem were then hermetically sealed off while the police searched the area.
In Neeroeteren, a primary school was hermetically sealed off after a toddler saw "a big black man".
In the Netherlands, the missing soldier was said to have been seen in Groningen on the evening of June 11, but it turned out to be a German hiker.
