first(?) livestream of a fatal plane crash Nepal Plane crash livestream

Tragic viral video: Residents of UP's Ghazipur(India) were sharing their live video feed on a social media platform, when #Nepal Flight crash happened.

Five friends - Sanjay Jaiswal, Sonu Jaiswal, Anil Kumar Rajbhar, Abhishek Kushwaha and Vishal Sharma - were there in the plane, while Sonu was live streaming.

Got damn, this one got me a little. The fact that you heard a few screams then the crash then NOTHING. That was awful. Rest in peace to all the deaths, and i hope anyone who survived recovers.

At the end someone must have initially survived because the camera moves and you can see tree branches move . It was after we saw flames. I found it eerie that you could still hear the airplane engines!

Happened way faster than I thought it would. Very little panic or reaction, thing turned into a fireball before anyone could process it I bet.

They would have felt the veer towards their death. Knowing how low they were to the ground some of them knew about their expiration even if quick.

It's honestly so sad how happy they looked just moments before :marseybrainlet::marseybrainlet:

Reminds me of 9/11 and how people in the planes died when they hit the tower. I’ve read physicists reviews on the tower planes and fiujd the only fortunate thing for them was the speed of death. Their pin receptors travelled slower than the plane impacting the building os they couldn’t feel it. What they could register was the initial pop sound they would hear in impact as sound receptors travel faster than pain. Last thing they would have heard was a pop/static pop and lights out

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

What do you mean by pop or static? I'm genuinely curious. Like what kind of pop?

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

Like blowing a pringles can or something. Planes are pretty hollow regardless of their size. You can actually listen to some 9/11 videos and hear a small pop in some ground control recordings

damn this is genuinely so sad

Jump in the discussion.

Dear god. I'm actually sad for them. All of them were happy thinking they landed! But they didn't :( , I cry when I feel bad for people , which is rare, but this made me feel bad , poor people , they were so happy.

It eventually died but I am suprised it survived that long.

For example, in the MH17 shot down over Ukraine phones survived. I am sure it is frequent especially if it is in a pocket as would be expected for most phones in an airliner

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

ikr, but when your iPhone accidentally slips from your front seat out onto the cement as you exit your car, the fuckin thing get obliterated.

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

Phones have a lot more tolerance than a human body under this circumstance. In the MH17 flight that Russian weapons shot down in Ukraine in 2014 from 10 km, phones were reported stolen from the crash site and answered after the crash.

Even people have survived falling from airliners. Longest fall record holder is currently at 10 km from a woman that fell out of a plane.

Also surprising lack of stutters or visible bitrate drops in the video.

also its very strange how nothing seemed amiss just seconds before impact. what the hell happened? he was even filming out the window and aside from flying pretty low everything seemed normal and everyone was totally calm

In external footage, the plane banks too far to one side, which causes it to instantly lose altitude and plough into the ground.

Smaller planes with a greater speed / weight ratios (stunt planes, turbo jets) can roll 90 degrees and "pull up" to turn sharply in the air. You've probably done the same manoeuvre in a video game before. Big, heavy planes like passenger jets, as soon as they roll 90 degrees, lose all of their lift from the wings and turn towards the ground due to weight and lack of thrust.

Another recent example, pilot says "oh shit" and its done a second later, low altitude there is no time to react.

Could be a wind burst, pressure change, the pilots had some reaction and the plane banked and couldn’t recover. The most dangerous points of flying are landing and takeoff

Jump in the discussion.

It is made out of Saudi Arabian passport material. Like the hijacker’s had in 9/11 that almost always survived.

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

That's what I was wondering. At the end you can see dudes hand grasp the phone/ camera),like wtf?

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

It looks to me like it was directly in the fire so the battery blew up, you could hear the hissing and it would explain why the phone moved suddenly

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

I didn't see a hand at all the camera moved though, there's no way anyone survived that impact

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

Do you mean camera? The cameraman died.

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

0:55 is the moment the plane rolls too far to one side, our cameraman holds onto the seat in front (with phone in hand), and you can hear loose objects clatter about. It looks like the phone is dropped to the floor and finds itself ejected from the plane as it's destroyed on impact with the ground.

Noises after the crash and whine of the engine that sound like gasping, breathing, or similar won't be people, but the sound of flames and distortion as the phone itself begins to melt.

That phone built like a Nokia

By the way, this livestream is being used in the investigation of why the plane crashed.

"it is speculated that the smartphone livestream, taken moments before and during the crash, showed the aircraft's nose noticeably high, before the left wing suddenly dropped and the plane fell out of sight, likely indicating a stall"

Let's give a hand for that phone! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

I wonder if it’s so quiet because you can’t scream with lungs full of fire

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

Probably can't scream because the impact with the ground and everything being blown apart killed them all. At least any within earshot.

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

Do these people think plane crashes are like movies where people just dig themselves out of the rubble? Everyone is expecting screaming and people burning, fuck no, they were crushed on impact from the plane collapsing in on them.

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

People do survive plane crashes, even hard catastrophic ones too. Like for instance 292 dead, and a sole survivor. It's luck, or fate, whatever you want to call it. Being at the back of the plane is statistically safer because the front of the plane can take alot of the impact, crumple up, lessen the impact of the back half. Though a plane nose diving straight into the ground is another matter. That's the G-forces that's killing ya.

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

All I have to say is, exceptions aren't the rule. People shouldn't be surprised that there wasn't any screaming

Jump in the discussion.

First footage of a plane crash from inside!? 2023 starting out hot already.

In all seriousness the screams made me hesitate to post this.

This is phenomenal. The explosion sound, the fiery wall, the silence after the panic, the slow wind down of the crashed jet engines. I'm enthralled.
