Video has emerged reportedly showing a Ukrainian who defected to Russia eight years ago being killed in a car bomb attack.

The clip, which has been shared on social media and messaging service Telegram, is said to show the moment Askyar Laishev was killed following a targeted attack in the Russian-held city of Staroblisk, in eastern Ukraine, on August 11.

The footage shows a dark-colored vehicle bursting into flames while driving down a road, with black smoke billowing out of it.

Laishev is said to have been inside the car at the time of the suspected bomb attack. Laishev worked for Ukraine's security service before joining the separatist military state, the Luhansk People's Republic, as head of intelligence in 2014.

"After Russia took control of Starobelsk, in the Luhansk Region, on March 2nd 2022, he was given a top position in the local police there. Ukrainian partisans bombed his car on Aug. 11," Visegrad24 tweeted.

"According to some sources, he survived with 90% burns on his body. Other sources say he died in the attack. Looking at the fireball after the explosion, the second option is more likely."

Happened on January 20, 2023, around 1 am in Zgorzelec, Poland

At a gas station on Daszyńskiego Street, underground tanker exploded during conservations works. Explosion killed one person (aged 50) and injured two others (aged 29 and 58).

Explosion was so powerful, that worker who was inside the tanker was lunched in the air, crashed into roof of nearby building and fell inside. He was the one who died.

It is unclear what caused the explosion. The tanker was empty.

Conservations work were being done by company from Bytom.

Closed-circuit security footage has emerged of the suicide bombing in Istanbul on Saturday that has reportedly killed and maimed dozens, including a group of Israeli tourists who were nearby during the attack.

The clip shows a man loitering suspiciously on a busy street in the Turkish city as unsuspecting passersby continue on the pedestrian pathway in the busy shopping district.

Within seconds, a large explosion ensues, and the footage ends before any discernible damage can be ascertained.

The blast killed the bomber and at least four others. Thirty-six people were wounded, among them Israeli tourists.

The Foreign Ministry confirmed that there were Israelis among the wounded in the Saturday morning suicide bombing in Istanbul.

Head of the Joint List party, MK Ayman Odeh said he was in contact with authorities in Turkey who said six Arab-Israeli citizens were wounded in the blast.

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Emmanuel Nahshon said he could not confirm the number of Israelis harmed, nor what condition they were in. Later the ministry released a statement that the Israelis were hospitalized at four different hospitals in the city.

The Foreign Ministry said that the wounded Israelis were part of a group of 14 Israeli tourists. The ministry was set to convene a meeting on the attack on Saturday afternoon.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was being updated in the aftermath of the attack.

Netanyahu ordered an increase in manpower at the Turkish consulate in Istanbul and directed the envoy to work towards bringing back to Israel the wounded Israelis.

Preliminary findings indicate that the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) or an affiliate carried out the attack, a senior Turkish official told Reuters.

"The attacker detonated the bomb before reaching the targeted point because they were scared of the police," the official said, adding the bomber had planned to hit a more crowded spot.

Armed police sealed off the shopping street where half a dozen ambulances had gathered. Forensic teams in white suits scoured the area for evidence. Police helicopters buzzed overhead and panicked shoppers fled the area, ducking down narrow sidestreets.

"My local shopkeeper told me someone had blown himself up and I walked towards the end of the street," one neighborhood resident told Reuters.

Three days later, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) released images of two suspects. They were later identified as the Tsarnaev brothers, who were Chechen Kyrgyzstani-Americans. Following their identification, they killed an MIT policeman, then kidnapped a man in his car. They had a shootout with the police in nearby Watertown, during which two officers were severely injured (one of whom, Dennis Simmonds, died a year later). Tamerlan was shot several times, and his brother Dzhokhar ran him over while escaping in the stolen car. Tamerlan died soon after.

An unprecedented manhunt for Dzhokhar ensued, with thousands of law enforcement officers searching a 20-block area of Watertown. Residents of Watertown and surrounding communities were asked to stay indoors, and the transportation system and most businesses and public places closed. After a Watertown resident discovered Dzhokhar hiding in a boat in his backyard, the fugitive was shot and wounded by police before being taken into custody.

During questioning, Dzhokhar said that he and his brother were motivated by the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, that they were self-radicalized and unconnected to any outside terrorist groups, and that he was following his brother's lead. He said they learned to build explosive devices from the online magazine of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula. He also said they had intended to travel to New York City to bomb Times Square. He was convicted of 30 charges, including use of a weapon of mass destruction and malicious destruction of property resulting in death.

Two months later, he was sentenced to death, but the sentence was vacated by the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. A writ of certiorari was granted by the Supreme Court of the United States, which considered the questions of whether the lower court erred in vacating the death sentence. After hearing arguments as United States v. Tsarnaev, the Court upheld the death penalty, reversing the First Circuit Court's decision.
