The use of firecrackers is a common sight during most celebrations in India. Playing with fire, however, has its own dangers. Recently, CCTV footage from a shop in Uttar Pradesh, which shows a fireworks accident being sparked off, surfaced on Twitter. The incident occurred on Monday, February 27, in Greater Noida's Dadri region during the Jagannath Shobha Yatra. The video shows a vehicle laden with firecrackers catching fire and burning to a crisp. One person lost their life in the accident while another is grievously injured and is admitted in a hospital.
The security camera from a shop opposite the site of the explosion was posted on Twitter. It shows people walking talking near the shop and walking on the road right before a ball of fire hits the e- rickshaw across the road. At least four people were around the vehicle, with two sitting in it. Following the initial explosion, the entire vehicle, reportedly carrying more fireworks, erupts in flames. The loud crackers shoot off, creating bright flashes and a smokescreen. People run helter-skelter and duck their heads to avoid the sparks flying around.
On Monday, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) Greater Noida said that two people had been injured in the incident and rushed to a nearby hospital. He said that proceedings regarding the accident were underway.
The ADCP further noted that the incident came to pass when the Jagannath Shobha Yatra procession was happening in Dadri. There was a huge crowd, with loud music being played and fireworks being burst.
A later tweet by The Police Commissionerate Gautam Buddha Nagar said that the explosions were sparked off due to a firework from the procession landing on the auto rickshaw, which was also carrying crackers. The rickshaw was moving ahead of the entire procession. Two people, identified as Salman and Sheeshpal, were in the vehicle and were injured in the accident.

Salman succumbed to the burn injuries in the hospital while Sheeshpal was still undergoing treatment. Investigation into the incident is ongoing and more details are still awaited.

These are the only images I could find, there were no videos as this has happened on a train station, next to a mega market.
This happened in late 2023 when a suicidal man with a grenade decided to blow himself up while sitting on a bench. People immediately alerted the police and paramedics, they arrived but alas, he was dead.
There are no aftermath photos as nobody dared to take some pics most of them are in property of the police and this was hardly covered by the media.
Fun fact I was sitting on that same bench 2 days before it happened.

The impact of the explosion was so intense that the roofs of some of the factories located in the vicinity were damaged.
Hapur: Twelve people died in a fire at a chemical factory in Uttar Pradesh's Hapur district. Police and fire-engines have rushed to the spot and rescue operations are on.
The accident happened after a boiler burst at an industrial facility in Dhaulana, around 60 kilometres from New Delhi, police spokesman Surendra Singh told Reuters.
The factory is located adjacent to a CNG pump. Rescue and relief measures were taken up at the site, according to officials.
The impact of the explosion was so intense that the roofs of some of the factories located in the vicinity were damaged. It took three hours for the fire tenders to douse the blaze in the factory.
Superintendent of Police of Hapur Deepak Bhuker said 12 people had died and 21 were injured and undergoing treatment.
"The factory was given the licence to manufacture electronic items. And now, it is a matter of probe what exactly was going on here. This is a sad incident. Forensic teams have reached here and are collecting samples," District Magistrate of Hapur Medha Roopam said.
"Our efforts are to ensure that the injured persons get the best medical treatment. Some of them have been referred to Safdarjung Hospital," she added.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief over the loss of lives.
"The accident in the chemical factory of Hapur, Uttar Pradesh is heart-wrenching. I express my condolences to the families of those who have lost their lives in this. The state government is actively involved in providing treatment to the injured and all possible help," Modi tweeted.
The chief minister directed that the incident be probed by experts.
In a statement issued in Lucknow, Adityanath asked the district administration to extend all possible help to the families of the victims.

During Ramadan in 2013, three people were setting off giant homemade fireworks when an explosion occurred, causing one person to be seriously injured and another person to die on the spot. Among them, the deceased who was closest to the fireworks looked like he was wearing a bomb vest, and his entire abdominal cavity was almost turned out from the inside. It was very terrifying. It is said that the cause of the accident was that the wrong fuse was used when making the fireworks, which caused the explosion to explode too fast.

A CNG autorickshaw driver was killed in a gas cylinder explosion in Feni. The explosion took place at Devipur Prime CNG pump in Sharshadi Union of Feni Sadar Upazila at 7 am on Monday. Another CNG-powered autorickshaw driver was seriously injured in the incident.The deceased's name is Saidur Rahman Roni, he is the son of Noor Islam of Dakshin Adharmanik village of Radhanagar union of Chagalnaya upazila. Injured Zahid Alam's house is in Noabpur village of Sonagazi upazila.
Saidur Rahman Shubo, the cashier of the pump, said that there was a lot of traffic at the pump in the morning. When Ronnie's car is gassed in a double cylinder, the cylinder explodes with a loud noise. When two people were rescued and taken to Feni's 250-bed hospital, the on-duty doctor declared Roni dead.
Doctor Saidur Rahman of Feni Hospital said that Roni was brought dead to the hospital. The body has been kept in the morgue for autopsy. Injured Zahid was taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital with serious injuries for better treatment.
Feni Police Deputy Inspector Saiful Islam confirmed this information. He said that the police visited the spot. As there was no damage to the pump in this explosion, the pump is currently normal.

In an appalling incident a Muslim youth lost his life after his friends blasted sulfur and potash filled in an iron pipe from behind in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad. The incident was caught on camera and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media. It can be seen in the video that the friends of the youth blast a pipe firecracker from behind after which the youth falls to the ground and dies.
The incident occurred on Diwali night on Sunday (November 12) while they were celebrating the festival in Jhandapur which falls under the Link Road Police Station area. The youths were celebrating Diwali by filling sulfur and potash in an iron rod at around 11 PM. A youth named Pradeep shot a piped firecracker at another youth named Nato alias Afzal from behind.
The firecracker hit him on his leg after which Afzal, who was 30 years old, suffered a torn vein at the back of his leg. He was rushed to a nearby hospital after he collapsed as the firecracker hit him from behind. He was declared dead by the doctors at the hsopital due to excessive bleeding. Afzal was reportedly a resident of Jharkhand and was living in Ghaziabad for the past 20-25 years.

In general, there are a lot of questions, but I think I'll answer some.
According to official media reports, the Investigative Committee reported about the grenade launcher.
If you look closely at the corner where many people, especially children, are concentrated, you will notice that there is some kind of weapons demonstration being carried out by military personnel.
This is also indicated by the fact that the child is photographed with a machine gun.
Most likely, a grenade launcher was also demonstrated. And perhaps one of the children fired a shot.
