This is not a foundry, this is not pig iron.
This is actually a rolling mill, and the orange-red thing is hot (but not liquid anymore) steel being rolled.

I wonder what did him in and how long it took. Force Trauma can be quick and easy. Squished and Scalded by a heavy red hot folded sheet of metal, that's an eternity of pain.
Jump in the discussion.

Hopefully blunt force trauma ended it quickly. That’s a lot of mass hitting him really fast, right around head level.

That was fascinating.. instant death or quickly insane pain?
Jump in the discussion.

The human body is a very resilient organism. "Instant death" (i.e. unconsciousness) only happens with direct brain injury, with the second fastest death being damage to the heart which would give you probably a full second of consciousness before your brain shut down.
Either way, if it's not brain or heart but still a fatal injury, you're going to be conscious for anywhere between several seconds to several minutes, even potentially days in the case of people dying from severe burns. The human body does all it can to survive no matter how dire the circumstances.
This wouldn't be instant death. It would probably be a solid 10-15 seconds of excruciating pain as a slab of red hot metal is pushed down into your back before a combination of the pain and the heat against the spine and skull whisked you away.

molten squishy metal or not, a 1mm metal metres long is heavy, and that metal looked tonnes heavy to me. That was instant death man, and then his deceased body got cooked after.

Just an observation, those sheets of metal are probably very very fucking heavy. The amount of force it would take to mush those things must me tremendous. The initial impact of the metal may of knocked him out, that or the amount of thermal heat transferred into his body could of instantly rendered him unconscious or dead.

Fantastic response, however, would that mass of steel (it looked 2'' thick) not press his body and head so hard into the machinery below, that he would have been crushed to a point of unconsciousness fairly quickly?

Right? It’s a good wager-take this death or another random death from WPD- I’d choose this.
Jump in the discussion.
No email address required.
Hrm. Yeah, I agree.
If the bet was that I had to choose this exact departure method, or it would be the next random video picked off this site featuring a death…
I’ll take this. That iron has a lot of mass and is moving very quickly. It’ll be the same as getting pancaked by a molten truck. A brief second of screaming agony — if that — and then nothing.
Much preferable to rolling the dice and getting the Guerrero Flaying treatment, or meeting Ghost Rider.

I wouldn't. He turned around, and it looks like it hit him realy hard in the back. While he might have been kncoked out by the impact, the sheer horror of just one instant of feeling that is unbearable to me.

In this hypothetical game, this is now how you would die. Hope you enjoy! :)

Instant, I'd say. The sheer speed of that ribbon of molten iron, considering how heavy it is, would have been like getting hit by a car at 80mph. Spinal cord severed and brain toast before the heat would even be registered.

Molten pig? That's what those sheets of hot metal are called?
Oof. I'm sure he's fine. He didn't lose his shoes, so it's illegal for him to die. /s

Nah this specific kind is called pig iron. It’s basically the first step after smelting iron and making it into something with better characteristics like steel or better iron.
