Shafaq News/ An informed security source reported on Saturday a tragic incident at the West Qurna 2 oil field in northern Basra, in southernmost Iraq, which resulted in the death of a worker.

The source told Shafaq News Agency that "the fall of one of the gates in the field led to the death of worker Mohammed Karim Ali, a resident of Al-Sadiq district in the Rahmaniyah area."

On the morning of the 24th of last month, around 9 AM, CCTV footage showed that the worker was initially standing to the right front of the bulldozer. According to informed sources, the worker was directing a truck to unload sand, but after multiple failed attempts, she moved to stand directly in front of the bulldozer's blade.

Due to the height of the blade, the driver couldn't see the worker and assumed the area was clear.
