If you did you'd know the persecution the Muslims in mecca and medina suffered when Islam was revealed, the pagan Arabs took everything the Muslims owned, raped and murdered the Muslims women and then beat and killed the close companions of the prophet. Context doesn't exist with the Qur'an. The Qur'an is supposed to be perfect guidance for all time, and older verses are supersed by newer ones that contradict them. This means the newer verses speaking of waging war supersede the older ones ones talking about coexisting in peace. The doctrine of Islam is eternal war upon the unbelievers until the world all over turns to Mekkah five times a day. IS is the closest you get to real Islamic doctrine in our time.

I cba honestly. Just look into the practise of abrogation in Islam, look up the differences between the Meccan and Medinan surah, and the practises and rulings of the prophet and the first caliphs from among the sahaba (keywords sunnah and ahadith) relating to whichever topic concerns you. While the truth is always a bit fuzzy and there are several schools of thought in Islam contending with each other, IS is able to back everything up with traditional Islamic practices, they didn't just make it up as they went along.
