I know everyone gets a big chubby revenge boner when they think of shooting someone who molested their son like they're The Punisher, but let's just put aside whether or not execution by gunshot is an appropriate punishment for Doucet.
Jeff Doucet had not yet been to trial for his crime.
This means that he has not yet been proven guilty of the crime.
This means that a man who is not guilty of a crime has been (not just been punished) executed for said crime.
Not only is execution not the appropriate punishment for the charge, (Because why would those guilty ever not murder the children after raping them if the punishment is death anyway) but you can't skip the due process because the crime is so serious that it's warranted. It's DOUBLY important that the process is as thorough as possible because the consequences are SO high.
What is punishment for? Is it to make you feel good? Will his son feel good now? Would his son feel good after being molested and growing up with a dad in prison?

He got 7 years with 5 years probation as far as i know. Man must've thought everything through and was 100% aware of that possible sentence. So basically only 2 years away from his son.
