You absolutely would be a shitty scientist. But he wasn't a robot and I'm sure there were a million other factors that attributed to this adult ending himself. It's very bizarre that you keep attacking his mother's character especially not knowing fuck all about either of them.
There has however been a few cases of very young people, the youngest I'm aware of was 6. Those cases absolutely hands down fall completely on the parents and their "programming" in my opinion. Your argument would certainly be more valid there I think. Not that you're wrong or completely off base it just doesn't necessarily hold any water in this particular instance.

There will be so many things out of your control once you become a parent. The way you speak makes me believe that you think that you can just fine tune your child, but children are literally PEOPLE. They'll have their own thoughts and feelings and no matter what you do and what punishment you distribute, you cannot change the way they'll feel. You can teach your children how to manage it, but everyone is different. Plus, Shuaiby was very open with his family about his depression and they did get him help. They even thought it was going great, but he still ended up taking his life.
Depression grows its roots so deep inside someone and most of the time you don't even realize it until it already has a grip on you. Helping a child with depression is NOT a low hanging bar. You have to take all sorts of things into account too. Like how willing your child would be to receive help, how much money therapy would cost, uncontrollable factors like personality disorders, ect. I really hope you're just a kid and not an adult, because you really have a lot to learn before you decide to become a parent.
