As controversial as assisted suicide might be, I think it’s safe to say that if we knew our time was coming to an end…most of us would want to go out this way. Under our own terms, in the company of friends/family and a pain free death.

This is how I hope to go, probably how many others would prefer as well. Surrounded by the people that matter most to me, at the end of a long and happy life. Just being able to drift of to sleep and finish my part in the world. Sounds very peaceful.

While I do hope I can say this without sparking a political discussion, I really think there would be some objective merit in showing this video, as well as some of the more... unnatural... ones on here, to anyone who is against assisted suicide. The peace and cozy-ness of this video, compared with the sheer insanity that constitutes the rest of this site, really provides a contrast that sent shivers down my spine. I literally came here from the ms. Pacman video.

I really don't want to have to leave this world depressed out of my mind looking for a gun to off my self, slowly withering away from a chronic illness or, god forbid, as one of them human ragdolls flying about the highways after being hit by a drunk driver. When It's my time to go, I want to go like this.

Wish my grandfathers had this option. Dying in pain in hospice was their only option.

For those curious, the organization Dignitas gives Antiemetic drugs, which prevent vomiting, and 30 minutes later provide the person with 15+ grams of Pentobarbital dissolved in water.

Pentobarbital is a strong sedative, naturally given in a lethal dose in this case. It allows for a peaceful and painless death, where you simply fall asleep and never wake up.

This is their procedure for almost all assisted suicides, including that of Michèle Causse.

That sounds a lot better than succumbing to an illness or getting hit by a bus or something. The video has a peacefulness to it, and its not unlike many other videos on this site.

I rather watch someone explode on impact than watch something like this.

This would b the chosen way to go for some suicidal ppl..its got to be hard jumping off buildings or in front of trains or shooting urself oh yea an hanging..but this was a breeze!

I keep coming back to this video. She's such stro g woman. But knows her time is done. also the nurse that facilitates it is an angel. Ive watched this whole documentary and it's amazing.

My neighbor went like this. My mother took care of her for 25 years after my grandma died, and saw her as a newfound mom. It's sad, but it's damn peaceful and dignifying way to go. No need for senseless suffering. This is definitely the way i want to go if i see that i'm no longer capable of living a life with dignity.

Is it strange I want to see more videos like this where the person drinks the drug and passes away while on camera?

A really beautiful way to go. May we all get such a peaceful death in the comfort of our loved ones. Or at least make sure it’s on film for the sub.

This was wild .. i know the feeling of wanting to go. Ive contemplated suicide twice with a failed attempt.. i was in a very dark bad place. . . Doing a bit better now.. but it just hits different when you can relate... dont know why im even saying this on here . But hey just being honest yo. . .

After all the people I've seen die in different and even horrendous ways, This felt different, but at least she left happy and at peace.

The dichotomy of watching this calm, serene and emotional death, then immediately followed by someone screaming and being tortured in the next video is very surreal hahaha

Having seen my mother go through cancer and die the hard way, I heard her wish time and time again that this was available for us here.

Having seen death by cancer in person, I feel no sense of conflict when I throw my hat in the ring with those who are in favour of medically assisted suicide for the terminally ill.
