As controversial as assisted suicide might be, I think it’s safe to say that if we knew our time was coming to an end…most of us would want to go out this way. Under our own terms, in the company of friends/family and a pain free death.

Great post!

Man, idk why this hit me so hard but it did, i guess im way too used to seeing people die in gory ways that this is the video that actually shocks me :D

The part where she says farewell with the other lady and and when she says she is just going to sleep and she likes it hit like a truck =(

Seriously, I kept rewatching and going back to when she drifted off into the release of death, “that feels good” it was almost surreal watching it

I can’t tell you how much this actually helps me mentally with something similar to this happening to my grandpa and he kept telling us “thank you, I need this rest” except instead of the chocolate that Mf was wolfing down cookies left and right lmao

This is how I hope to go, probably how many others would prefer as well. Surrounded by the people that matter most to me, at the end of a long and happy life. Just being able to drift of to sleep and finish my part in the world. Sounds very peaceful.

Surrounded by open-minded loved ones! Because I betcha majority of our loved ones would hate us or disagree with this! They still have this religion and backwards mindset imbedded in their blood! 🙄

While I do hope I can say this without sparking a political discussion, I really think there would be some objective merit in showing this video, as well as some of the more... unnatural... ones on here, to anyone who is against assisted suicide. The peace and cozy-ness of this video, compared with the sheer insanity that constitutes the rest of this site, really provides a contrast that sent shivers down my spine. I literally came here from the ms. Pacman video.

I really don't want to have to leave this world depressed out of my mind looking for a gun to off my self, slowly withering away from a chronic illness or, god forbid, as one of them human ragdolls flying about the highways after being hit by a drunk driver. When It's my time to go, I want to go like this.

We can only dream that this would be LEGALIZED WORLDWIDE. But sadly religion makes people with BACKWARD MINDSET

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

Believe it or not, just like abortion and many other such issues, it is very possible to be against this sort of thing without bringing religion into it.

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

Well aborting a baby is different. If the baby was suicidal, then sure.

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

You are right aborting a baby is different. It’s more similar to taking out the trash before it gets moldy or flies come out. It’s not the same as an actual person dying

Jump in the discussion.

it's exactly the same.

The fuck do you mean killing yourself isnt "legal". Thats about the dumbest shit I've ever heard. They can prostecute the goddamn corpse in a post-mortem trial if need be.

For those curious, the organization Dignitas gives Antiemetic drugs, which prevent vomiting, and 30 minutes later provide the person with 15+ grams of Pentobarbital dissolved in water.

Pentobarbital is a strong sedative, naturally given in a lethal dose in this case. It allows for a peaceful and painless death, where you simply fall asleep and never wake up.

This is their procedure for almost all assisted suicides, including that of Michèle Causse.

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

The chocolate is unrelated to the actual suicide, by the way.

A food and/or drink is almost always provided, as they mention Pentobarbital isnt known for tasting great, but lighter foods such as chocolate are more common as theres no risk of interfering with the sedative.

That sounds a lot better than succumbing to an illness or getting hit by a bus or something. The video has a peacefulness to it, and its not unlike many other videos on this site.

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

Very true.. if people see the benefit of this instead of accepting that we all should die from a serious illness eating away the life and happiness still left on ourselves or sudden gruesome accidents like what we normally see here. They would know that this is better than experience those latter events. Smh

My neighbor went like this. My mother took care of her for 25 years after my grandma died, and saw her as a newfound mom. It's sad, but it's damn peaceful and dignifying way to go. No need for senseless suffering. This is definitely the way i want to go if i see that i'm no longer capable of living a life with dignity.

This was wild .. i know the feeling of wanting to go. Ive contemplated suicide twice with a failed attempt.. i was in a very dark bad place. . . Doing a bit better now.. but it just hits different when you can relate... dont know why im even saying this on here . But hey just being honest yo. . .
