Sort of reminds me of a scene from the book World War Z. Zombies are taking over the world, a small town of people are in a barricaded church hiding out. Zombies start smashing the doors and windows in, and they break in, the people inside are basically helpless. A little girl is there with her mother, she's about 5 years old, barely understands what's happening. Her mother sees people being ripped apart all around. The mother begins repeating "I won't let them get you, I won't let them take you, I WON'T LET THEM TAKE YOU!" She started strangling her own daughter, having had a psychotic break, believing that strangling her daughter to death would be better than letting her be eaten alive.
Of course, that's fiction, and a very extreme circumstance. I didn't see one fucking zombie here, this father is just an insane prick.

Worst example I've heard of this, was a woman who placed her infant child in a microwave, called the father (they weren't together, I think that is why she was pissed at him), and turned the microwave on so he had to listen to the screams. So much for "motherly protectiveness" in that case...

Holy fuck man! I remember a guy, "Stefan Molyneux" arguing that children are basically 2nd class citizens or treated as the equivalent of livestock. Although society likes to virtue signal "won't someone think about the children?!?!", they really give zero fucks about them. For that reason the amount of suffering, mostly in silence, they are put through is unparalleled. It's so taboo to talk about that most people would not be able to fathom the scale of this suffering.

This is because of the nature of how divorce is handled in court, and the state having far too much involvement in parenting. During a divorce, shitty people won't view their children as people, just like you said- they're just another possession or tool that is to be used against, or taken away from, your former partner. It's even more obvious that children aren't valued when you look at... idk, the reaction to the pandemic- a disease that only kills old people and people with compromised immune systems... but we shut the entire fucking world down for two years in order to protect the elderly. We sacrificed a few generations of children in order to prolong the lives of unhealthy elderly. This is BACKWARDS.
I am very concerned about the kids who grew up during the pandemic- they're going to be the strangest, most neurotic, most frightful, most easily duped generation we've ever seen. These poor kids were deprived of the chance to naturally learn how to read facial expressions and non-verbal communication because of the muzzles everyone wore. Their parents were likely terrified or stressed to hell, which never helps their children. I call these generations of kids "Corronials" (like millennials, but y'know), and I hope when they get older, they realize the horrors of what was done to them, and they do something about it... but they might be so psychologically stunted from the whole thing, ..

Yeah I cannot relate. My kids were the happiest ever when they could do work at home. They can still go outside. You don't have to be locked in a room. My kids and I were upset when they had to go back to school. My gosh it was just like a summer break. That doesn't totally destroy kids lives cause they don't see their friends in summer. So damn over dramatic.

In regards to your "We sacrificed a few generations of children" point, that's another point Stefan would make and it helped me make a connection with the Pandemic that made me furious: People are so willing to sacrifice the future of their children so they can have it easier in the present, and the most iconic example of this is the "Baby Boomer" generation. These people opened the flood gates for the degeneracy we see today. From the destruction of the family and sexual morality, all the way to labour laws, sovereignty, and borders. The changes benefited their hedonistic and selfish needs while laying the ground work for the numerous struggles we'd encounter decades later.
After learning that, the Pandemic clicked. This same group of people are in government and other upper-rung areas of society right now. This pandemic farce was for them. Whether it was legitimately to protect themselves from a virus or to loot the last bit of wealth remaining for their retirement, or both, this singular group benefited the most. I'm not a religious person, but the irony did dawn on me how a virus was crafted specifically to target this group, and, in their typical fashion, they threw their future generations and the kitchen sink to stop it.
Everything you said was spot on. I've thought about and considered it all. My thoughts on the "scamdemic" and each of the points you made could fill an angry and hate-filled book.

Maybe there's something wrong with me, but I don't feel as bad about the child dying too. Don't get me wrong, the father is a dickhead for taking her with him when there's a mother presumably somewhere. But, when children die, largely, it's our expectations and hopes that die with them. The actual person didn't have a deep well of knowledge or experience yet, and in this case didn't even have memory capabilities. It's sad, surely, but, I always feel that they got a shortcut in life. No existential dread, no sprawl for survival in a modern world. Sure, there's a lot that they didn't get to experience, but, with their death, it's the expectations that we bury with the person that seems to carry such a golden aura. But, you turn that on the flip-side, and people don't seem to care as much when the elderly die. Upwards to a century of experiences and recollections is lost when an elder dies, but, we accept that that's just what happens when you're old. I don't know. I guess the idea is that children create the future, but when a child dies, more than anything, I'm envious of what they never had to bear. But this has become a rant!
Also, for humor's sake; After seeing so many surveillance videos of children immediately running into traffic or jumping into holes of unknown depth when let go of by an adult, I've started calling children "Suicide Rockets". Light em up, watch em go, pow!, and that's a wrap, folks!
