A man was found dead, suspected of having set himself on fire, in Barangay Pugaro, Manaoag, January 4, around 5:20 p.m.

The victim is a car mechanic and a resident of Barangay Botao, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan.

Based on the PNP report, a parking boy/caretaker found a motorcycle parked in the parking area which prompted him to conduct a roving to find the owner of said motorcycle until he reached the grassy part of Virgins Well and there he discovered a burnt corpse.

During the investigation, a cellphone was recovered at the scene of the incident and it appears that the victim recorded a video of himself around 11:42 in the morning where he intentionally poured a gallon of gasoline on his body and then set himself on fire. until death.

The motive behind the incident is said to be a serious family problem.

Katelyn Nicole Davis was a 12-year-old American girl who committed suicide. She hung herself from a tree in her backyard while live streaming the event to Live.me. The video was shared on social media, particularly on Facebook. The resulting publicity brought an outpouring of online support and attention to the issues of suicide causes and prevention, child abuse, bullying, and appropriate use of social media.

Who is she?

Rorochan_1999 was the online alias of a 14 year old girl, who seemed to struggle with a variety of mental health issues, and she appeared to be quite lonely. She started livestreaming on platforms such as FC2, Niconico, TwitCast, and Ustream in 2012. She would do a variety of things like studying, singing, dancing and playing the piano and is even rumored to have streamed herself running in the middle of traffic, avoiding speeding cars or standing on the edge of tall height buildings. There were many implications of neglect, so she used the internet to escape. She lived a double life of being a normal middle school girl, to being a streamer behind closed doors, family and friends unknowing.

Archive 1: Livestream from Nov 1, 2013

The video starts with her playing "Rudolph the red nosed reindeer" on the piano. She plays a variety of different notes, some are even disturbing to listen to, hearing the distress in the way she played. According to a native Japanese speaker in the comments of an analysis video of the situation, Roro was singing a song from the anime Minky Momo, an anime knowing for a dark ending where the protagonist died via a car crash despite it being a kids show. Rorochan_1999 had the character as her profile picture. After she sings the song from the anime, she appears to read the comments of the livestream and then shortly after have a mental breakdown. She seems to be repeating the word "daite" over and over while laughing or crying. "Daite" directly translates to hug/hold me, however with the Japanese language, context of situations change the meaning of things said. While it is speculated she was repeating "mother, hold me", that same native Japanese speaker discussed what she was saying toward the end was actually likely to be sexual in nature. She had purposely labeled her livestreams sexually as well.

Archive 2: Livestream, unknown date

In the video, she has a bag over her head to hide her face. She is seen recording herself in a mirror and wearing a robe while whispering things. She is seen hyperventilating and swinging her head furiously around the camera in a disturbing strange manner.

Her final and suicide livestream : "暗黒" November 24th, 2013

At 2:44 in the video, she stands on a trashcan, and is about to jump. We see the very tall fall in front of her. She throws her phone as she jumps. We are not able to see her jump off, but you can hear the loud sound of her hitting the ground shortly after.

Nobody saw Rorochan jump. She had jumped around 3 am, and was discovered by a female newspaper carrier within 5-10 minutes. Her body was still warm and her body was still fully in tact, her mask was hanging from one ear, one shoe was on the ground next to her. Police arrived within 5 minutes and she was pronounced dead at the hospital about 3 hours later. She did not leave a note.

I researched for hours and both fortunately and unfortunately, her name was never publicly available due to her age, and is heavily debated about online. I think it may be for best that we are not aware of her name, for the protection and wellbeing of her family. However she has been referred to as "A". There was no implications that she was bullied, a female student who she was close with said "I don't know why she committed suicide so suddenly" and students from her school said there was no signs of trouble presented otherwise.

Unfortunately there were many sick individuals in some of these chat logs that were speaking sexually to her, asking her to flash, asking her to go back to her room to preform NSFW activities and more. The things that were said are truly sick.

She often stated in past livestreams or on websites such as 2chan that she wanted to "become a legend". She discussed her plans and how she wanted her death to be unexpected out of a girl like her.

The rising popularity of this case

On Jan 8, 2020 a music video was released with the title, "Shinsei Kamattechan - Ruru's Suicide Show on a Livestream Official Video (Animation)" was released. "Ruru" is the character presented in the music video, the translated lyrics consist of talking about suicide, and how the internet destroyed her. It is unclear whether or not the song is dedicated to Rorochan or not, but it is a song dedicated to suicide victims in general.

After this song rose in popularity, the case of Rorochan's suicide was publicized and brought up again. She did in fact, "become a legend". Other than her vague postings about it, her motives are unclear as to why she committed suicide. Rest in peace, Rorochan.

Nowadays, the process of suicide is increasing continuously in the state, while a case has come to the fore from Bhagalpur Railway Department, where a woman constable has committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan. It has not been disclosed. It is being told that the female police constable Neetu Kumari was troubled by a domestic dispute due to which she committed suicide. It was told that she was working as a constable at Bhagalpur railway station. The deceased woman constable was a resident of Deoghar Madhopur in Jharkhand. It may be noted that female constable Neetu had reached her post today at 6:00 am in her duty and after doing duty till 2:00 pm, she came to her room and this incident took place between 2:45 to 3:00 am. It happened in the middle of the afternoon, as soon as she saw Neetu and the female constables living with her hanging from the fan, the female constable started making noise, but by the time she was brought down from the noose, she had died. He was hurriedly taken out of the trap and taken to Mayaganj Hospital where the doctor declared him brought dead. Neetu was working in Bhagalpur RPF department since last 3 years. She was appointed in 2020 batch and this was her first posting.

It may be noted that the husband of railway woman constable Neetu is a private engineer. He has a private job. Neetu was the only daughter of her parents. Neetu is feared to have a dispute with her husband. Neetu was married only for a year. At present, senior RPF officers are engaged in the investigation of this matter. At the same time, her aunt who lives in Bhagalpur reached Neetu's dead body in Bhagalpur Medical College and seeing her, she was in a bad condition crying, she could not understand how all this happened.

On August 31, 2020, Ronald Merle "Ronnie" McNutt, a 33-year-old American man, fatally shot himself in the head during a Facebook livestream, which went viral on social media platforms. A 20-year-old man filmed himself killing his baby daughter in an abandoned hotel in Thailand while streaming the incident live on Facebook, before taking his own life.

The horrific footage – posted in two videos that lasted over four minutes – remained accessible on the man’s Facebook page for almost 24 hours.

The crime took place Monday on the island of Phuket, and the alarm was raised by the baby’s mother who contacted police to say her boyfriend had posted a video on his Facebook page which showed him tying a noose around his daughter’s neck before lowering her body over the edge of the third floor of the abandoned hotel.

“You can hear the girl crying [on the video] and finally the crying stops. Then he pulls her up onto the rooftop and unties the rope from her neck,” a local police officer said Tuesday, describing the contents of the videos.

“This is an appalling incident and our hearts go out to the family of the victim,” a Facebook spokesman told. “There is absolutely no place for content of this kind on Facebook and it has now been removed.”

Facebook took down the videos following a request from Thailand’s ministry of digital economy. “We contacted Facebook today and Facebook removed the videos,” a spokesman said.

The ministry added it will not be taking any action against the company. “We will not be able to press charges against Facebook, because Facebook is the service provider and they acted according to their protocol when we sent our request. They cooperated very well.”

However because the clip was available online for so long, it has been widely shared on social media in Thailand – one TV station even broadcast the clip. While it blurred the faces of those involved, this decision was strongly criticized.

The man had an argument with his girlfriend in the early hours of Monday morning, threatening to kill her because he believed she was having an affair.

She then fled the house, but when she returned on Monday afternoon, he left with the child, saying he would be home later. Soon after, the video footage was posted on Facebook.

Facebook is still reeling from a controversy earlier this month when footage of Steve Stephens killing Robert Godwin in Cleveland on Easter Sunday was posted to the social network and remained there for hours before finally being taken down.

At the time Facebook said it was “constantly exploring ways that new technologies can help us make sure Facebook is a safe environment.”

He's a not-so-famous YouTuber, who committed suicide after streaming found out who wanted to have a relationship with a minor. So he launched a live and he committed suicide on it, youtube banned him 15 minutes later

Hello, everybody, Weko997 here. In today's post I will be doing a deep dive into the world of firearm suicide. Please use this post educational reasons for knowledge, instead of using it to learn how to actually kill yourself.

Introduction to Firearm Suicide

I would like to begin off by saying firearm suicide takes up the greatest number of deaths via firearm, in 2021, 54% of firearm related deaths were suicide. 90% of firearm suicides are successful. 10% of these people live though, are most likely lose basic motor abilities, experience severe chronic pain, and a bunch of other complications such as meningitis, aphasia, hemianopsia, and hemiplegia. 50% of survivors sever a nerve and have facial nerve damage,

Meningitis: An infection of meninges, protective tissue of the brain that causes stiff neck, headache and fever.

Aphasia: a person may be unable to comprehend or unable to formulate language because of damage to specific brain regions

Hemianopsia: Loss in vision, or blurriness

Hemiplegia: total or nearly complete paralysis on one side of the body

Firearm Suicide Terms

Multiple-gunshot suicide: This occurs when an individual commits suicide by inflicting multiple gunshots on itself before becoming incapacitated. These are extremely rare when it comes to firearm suicide,

Murder Suicide - The act of intentionally taking others' lives with a firearm before taking your own, with a firearm. A keen example of this would be the Columbine shooting.

As evident throughout the many of suicides on this site, a plethora of things can happen when someone takes their own life with a firearm.

The first thing that can happen, is spasming out. Most of the time, when shooting yourself with a small caliber gun, you tend to tense up or move in a spastic or unusual way. The cause of this could be a multitude of things. If a area of your brain is damaged, you could go into different postures/positions. Another reason one may act this way is due to their brain going into shock that its shutting down, and in a responce acting in a frantic way. A good example would be 1444

Through the Mouth < Using Marsey as an example (Thank you Marsey). Suicide through the mouth is the act of shooting yourself with the muzzle in your mouth. This method of suicide is uncommon, but a good example would be Budd Dwyer's Live Tv Suicide. As stated up above, people can react in frantic ways, but every through the mouth suicide I've seen had the user completely limp after the blast. Thie bullet of the gun enters through the mouth and out through the top of the head, and if shot right could cause leakage in the back of the head, causing a perfuse amount of blood to leak out through the nose. If you see a video of a man committing suicide with the muzzle pointed straight near the throat instead of the brain, that video is fake. Portrayed by Movies, the gun is pointed straight, this is inaccurate as the bullet can't access the brain. Straight firing has been used for self harm.

The Temple: Shooting yourself in the temple is the most common way for suicide due to it having what seems the easiest way to enter through the brain. Most people who shoot themselves in the temple due so with a handgun, though rifles and shotguns have been used. A good example of a non-handgun temple suicide shooting would be 1444. Most people who shoot themselves in the temple have a frantic response to the gunshot. The gunshot enters through where the muzzle is placed, then exits perpendicular from where the gun is placed.

Through the forehead: Through the forehead shooting is uncommon, but the people who have done so share the same traits with people who shoot through the temple, they want an easy acesss to the brain. The best example for a through the forehead suicide would be Shuaby's Suicide.

Under the Chin Suicide: Under the chin is where the muzzle of the gun is placed under the chin and the user shoots. This is mostly done with a shotgun or a rifle, and not a handgun. Out of every under the chin suicide I have seen, none of them used a handgun. If done with a shotgun or a rifle, the user starts to drip blood everywhere, and the face looks disfigured and almost like a demogorgan. A example of this would be when this animator killed himself. If you listen, you can hear blood drip on the floor, which also happens in Ronnie Mcnutt's suicide.

ORIGIN

Gleb Korablev, an 18 year old student from Moscow, killed himself 4 years ago, after an altercation with his girlfriend. Gleb was part of a Russian roleplaying group, and he was also a fencer.

The stream was hosted on VK, where Gleb pointed a Saiga - 12 shotgun to his head, and pressed the trigger, after shouting "Nya, Poka!", Similarly to the Russian teenager Rina Palenkova, which commited suicide by train.

His death was quickly shared online, most notably on YouTube and Twitter, after the now deleted YouTube channel "GORE" posted his suicide, 2 days after the original stream. (October 19, 2019).

The video quickly gained over 150 thousand views, and YouTube was late to respond, taking 3 days to remove the video off of their platform.

This case was most notable for the "curse" associated with it, that would happen to the viewer after watching the video, if they did not comment the date in which they watched said video.

An alleged friend of Gleb says that the issue with his girlfriend was not the reason, rather that Gleb had heart problems and he would be dying in 2 weeks, so he made it quick.

VIRAL SPREAD

The original video was 2-3 hours long, specifically 2 hours, 51 minutes, and 40 seconds. The broadcast kept going until the police came to investigate, approximately 2 and a half hours later. Unfortunately, the original video is possibly lost media, as the only version that exists online today, is the 17 second clip of his death.

Along with the YouTube video, many users on Twitter would mask the video by putting innocent screenshots before his suicide, in an attempt to fool and scare users.

The video was also reported to be shown in YouTube's autoplay, which startled viewers.

Twitter users frantically posted about the video, warning eachother not to watch it.

The video was allegedly named "1444" to avoid YouTube detection bots and remain obscure.

THE CURSE

After the video was uploaded, an urban legend was created about it. According to internet users, the video is cursed, and the only way to break the curse is by commenting the date of the video. A reddit user claimed that Korablev planned it beforehand, and allegedly cursed the video.

This was mainly covered by Spanish speaking outlets and memes about the curse may have originated in Mexico, despite the video being recorded in Russia.

USER RESPONSE

The search term "Video 1444" had a massive spike in late October and early December, despite the video being posted in mid-October. Users on the social media platform Twitter urged all other browsers of the site to avoid the video.

Gleb's VK account remains online, under the username "kgb2001".

Many of Gleb's colleagues remain online on VK, but I do not encourage you to go messaging them about their beloved friend's death.

Rorochan was a 14-year-old girl from Ōmihachiman, Japan, who frequently streamed on different platforms (specifically Japanese platforms Niconico FC2) while performing dangerous stunts. She was known for seeking attention, and often used rather suggestive titles to her streams that would attract a more malicious audience (example is one of her streams named, “Erotic Menhera Virgin, 3rd year of junior high school”. Menhera is basically Asian slang for individuals, particularly girls, who struggle with mental health issues). She posted many tweets on her Twitter saying things along the lines of, “I'm sorry for everything”, however no one really knows if she was neglected or a victim of cyber bullying. On some platforms, she even used the character Minky Momo as her profile picture, an anime girl known for being hit and killed by a truck.

•Rorochan seemed to try and hide her appearance when online, however she accidentally exposed her face here and there which made her apologize frantically and asked her watchers to forget what they had seen. It fed into her social anxiety, most of her videos having her wearing a bag over her head whilst singing and playing piano. She started to gain attention when she started showing attention-seeking behavior and engaging in rather hazardous actions such as running through busy streets and standing on the edge of the 13th floor balcony of her apartment. Some of her watchers tried to convince her to stop, while others continued to push her further and to do more.

It hit a pothole when viewers urged her to harm herself in order to reach the fame status she wanted do dearly. It's speculated that the want for fame along with her loneliness, mental health issues, and the rather toxic fan base she attracted sealed her choice to take her life. On November 24th, 2013, Rorochan proceeded to make her way to the balcony of the 13th floor, streaming while doing so. Again, some tried to talk her down while others pushed her to jump. Rorochan decided to jump, her thud audible on the video hitting what sounds like a roof of a building below. She didn't die immediately, though she did succumb to her injuries in the hospital.

Upon her death, Rorochan's identity has stayed silent. There's a song written by Shinsei Kamattechan named, “Ruru's Suicide Show on a Livestream”, however it doesn't have a direct link to Rorochan and her suicide. There is many lyrics and scenes in the song that is connected to the young girl's death, however, which makes one believe they used her suicide to possibly prove a point. Translations of the song into English include lines such as "Jumping from the Chūō line," which alludes to the location where Rorochan was captured on video with her feet dangling and where three girls reportedly jumped on the day of her death. Another line in the song states, "There is no point in calling the FBI," which reflects the attempts by the Japanese authorities to suppress evidence, although the case eventually gained public attention. The lyrics also include references such as "The bluetooth of this city is destroying me completely" and "I'm a witch who talks to cats," which symbolize Rorochan's interaction with her fans and viewers, whom she perceived as contributing to her tragic fate.
