Pilots are rarely at fault and even when they are it’s a training or mechanical oversight at the root of the issue. Pilot training is rigorous and an international standard must be met. Stfu about stupid pilot

You should subscribe to air crash investigations. It’s very often determined to be pilot error. A lot of times just because they can’t come up with anything else but they do thoroughly investigate every plane crash.

I have seen a solid 70% of them. I’m an aviation nerd kinda. Pilot error is still rarely the sole cause. The pilots errors are usually combined with a series of mechanical or electrical faults (pitot tube covers, faulty doors from the factory, mechanic’s not resetting switches, etc) their actions didn’t have the same effect they would normally have even while following checklists. That being said my statement really just applies to commercial aviation of the past 20 years and you are also right

Let them have trouble coming up with a solid cause tho and they will lay it on a pilot super quick. They feel so much pressure to give an answer to why they don’t ever really just say we don’t know.

I ran across one today where the pilot let his teenage son sit in the captains chair and the kid disengaged part of the auto pilot resulting in the whole air liner crashing into the ground 👀. It made me think of this exchange lol.

I def will it was a fb short I watched. Idk wtf the guy was thinking but the gforce from the bank fucked ‘em. Pretty sure all air liners completely disengage auto pilot as soon as you move the stick now due to pilots fighting against it in the past while never disengaging it.
