A young driver crashed at high speed into the wall of a toll booth that divides the provinces of Llanquihue and Osorno, on a route in Chile.
The 21-year-old boy died instantly after crashing his vehicle into the containment barrier, which was captured on video.
The event was recorded by the security camera located in the so-called Troncal Cuatro Vientos, in Purranque, BíoBío published.
As can be seen in the record, the driver of the vehicle is going at a high speed, while the cars that pass by are slow, since a toll was approaching.
After this, the vehicle that ended up in an accident headed directly towards the retaining wall, at which point it collided at a high speed that even caused several of the pieces of the machine to be ejected and set on fire.
Authorities found part of the vehicle’s speedometer that was marked at 220 kilometers per hour. Witness affirm that the vehicle was coming well above the speed allowed on that route.
The Traffic Accident Investigation Section (SIAT) of the Carabineros and the Legal Medical Service went to the site of the event to remove the body and compile the background information that led to the fatal event.
