A heart-wrenching accident has happened in Jalaun district, where a speeding pickup hit a brother-in-law and sister-in-law who were warming themselves by a bonfire at a roadside vegetable shop. In this accident, the brother-in-law died on the spot, while the sister-in-law was seriously injured. This accident happened on Friday in Damras village of Thana Sirsa Kalar area. There was an atmosphere of chaos at the spot, and the people around were shocked to see this painful scene.According to the incident, Santosh (58 years) and Shivkali (55 years) were warming themselves by a bonfire at their vegetable shop on the roadside. Then a speeding milk-laden loader (pickup) coming from Niyamatpur hit both of them hard. Santosh died on the spot, while his sister-in-law Shivkali was seriously injured. Panic spread in the village after the incident, and the villagers immediately informed the police. The police took immediate action and took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. The injured Bhabhi was sent to the Primary Health Center, where her condition became critical and she was referred to the Government Medical College of Orai.
Police station in-charge Brajesh Bahadur Singh informed that the loader driver fled after the accident, but the police have parked the loader in the police station. At present, the police is investigating the matter and the search for the accused driver is on. This accident is not only a big loss for the family, but has also become a cause of grief for the people of the village.
