I think at that point and given the severity of the wreck they were lucky to land there. I doubt any of them survived, and an instant death would be preferable to a long, agonizing death.
Also, having their seatbelts on probably wouldn’t have made much of a difference to be honest. At that speed, a head on collision at that rate of speed would be it for most people, seatbelt or not those people were done for.
