The spot where the road meets the driveway is a low point. So it rolled down the driveway then, due to momentum, went up the road a little, slowing it to a stop, and then it rolled back down but without enough momentum to get back up the driveway. Plus I think something was blocking it's wheels...

My dad once parked his car on an inclined driveway and forgot to put the brake on (he thought he did). A police officer had to tell him later his car had rolled down the driveway onto the road. Luckily it did not hit anything or anyone, as it was a pretty quiet road.
