I almost did that one time driving from Philadelphia through New York City, and if you’ve ever driven there, it’s like trying to find the tip of the noodle in a bowl of spaghetti. And because there are so many adjacent service roads that merge onto the actual highway, my GPS thought I was on one of those, and then suddenly recalibrated, and bounced my icon over to the lane I needed to be in, about 250 feet from when I needed to be in it — and to make things worse, the exit I needed to be on had a steep downwards cement gradation, because it was about six feet lower than the part of the highway I was on — but I was like “I AM AN AMERICAN, IT’S A FREE COUNTRY, AND YOU CANNOT MAKE ME GO TO NEW JERSEY!!!”, checked all my mirrors to make sure I was good, and just fuckin’ went for it doing about 80 miles an hour haha — PLUS, I was in a Range Rover, which are NOTORIOUSLY TIPPY & ass-heavy — and when I went down that gradation, missing those blue-water-barrel-exit brackets by like ten feet, the exit I needed to be on immediately bared right, and my whoooole car tipped sideways onto the two driver’s-side tires like something from a stadium monster truck stunt rally hahah. It was SO irresponsible, but it worked out, and I didn’t have to go to New Jersey.

When we had construction on our local very busy highway they moved my exit I was unaware and going 65 it was a split second decision you don't have time to really think about it you just do it. If I had pulled the wheel over just a little bit more to the left I would have been dead. They put up the cement exits the temporary ones. I took off the entire left side of my car and I'm just sitting there my rims are flat my left side is gone with not a scratch on me. I'll never forget that I thought there must be Angels looking out for me and also yes that was very dumb but it was such a quick decision I was late for my MRI. I almost was late for the rest of my life but no it's not something that you think about you just think last second oops there's my exit and before you know it you're either gone or you're very lucky I'll never do that again!!!!
