The passengers probably were not wearing a seatbelt but who knows. My kids are 30 35 and 40 till this day we don't back out of the driveway unless everyone has their seatbelts on. This guy had not been paying attention or the light was in his eyes we'll never know why but everyone here wishing him death & rape is kind of f***** up. Without us knowing all the facts was he drunk? Is he just a selfish prick with no conscience and could care less about the two people in the car? More than likely it was just pure accident and not seeing the light Him living with that will be a mental torture 24/7 probably even asleep you'll have nightmares and he won't want to go on, it's just human nature. I couldn't think of anything worse except for the loss of a child and I've done that twice. This would be in the top three reasons why I would never have a moments peace in my life. I do hope this man heals physically and emotionally there's no sense in a third life being lost

The way that car caved in I'm pretty sure just demolished the entire frame and disconnected the seatbelts completely. I've seen accidents like this where seatbelts didn't matter. Obviously they do most of the time, but sometimes there's just no stopping death.
