Woman tries to enter topless at a night club and is beaten by security guards, they leave her lying on the street when she gets run over and is dragged 70 meters away by car

Cascavel, PR, Brazil - May 28, 2023.

The young Daiane de Jesus Oliveira, 28 years old, died after being run over and dragged for 70 meters away by a car in the Center of Cascavel, west of Paraná, according to the Military Police (PM-PR)

Images from a monitoring camera show that the death happened two minutes after a fight between the victim and security guards at the Moonlight nightclub. After being assaulted, she was lying on the street, according to the PM. Police did not say whether she was unconscious.

In a statement, the company mourned the death, said that it removed the security guards involved and that it will take "the necessary measures to prevent similar situations from occurring again". Read at the end of the report. The PM reported that the young woman was drunk and was trying to enter the club half naked. She was stopped, assaulted and, as a result, the accident happened. The case was registered by PC-PR, which said it was at the scene collecting information and taking images for investigation. Until this publication aired, the identities of the people involved in the fight were not disclosed.

According to the Military Police, Siate was at the scene and found that the young woman died at the scene. Still according to the police, the author of the hit-and-run fled without providing help. Until the publication of this report, the driver had not yet been located.

Driver probably thought that was some kind of elaborate robbery attempt and kept it moving.

The security guard that pushed her down should be charged.

Thought the same thing. In Brazil, if people are flagging you down, it seems like it's more than a 50% chance that they're going to try to shoot you and rob you.

>The security guard that pushed her down should be charged.

I disagree. The woman is 28 years old- old enough to know better. I know she's drunk as shit, but she's almost thirty; at what age is it appropriate to hold a person responsible for their actions, regardless of whether they're intoxicated or not? She assaulted the guard, tried to push him into the road and hit him. All they did was push her- they didn't beat her. It's hard to tell if she was KO'ed by hitting her head on the ground, or if she sort of passed out, being so drunk.

It's not the bouncer's responsibility to make sure that people who assault him fall asleep in a safe spot. That's the individual's responsibility. He was fired, and that's enough- what law do you think he broke here that he deserves charges for?

It's also worth thinking of this angle, similar to why the driver may have sped up: Thugs will use women or kids to distract guards before launching their robbery or attack or w/e. A topless, wasted woman showing up alone at the club door like that is a little sus, at least in a place where criminals rule the streets.

But come on bro you cannot tell me that the bouncer is not negligent for leaving her in the road for over a minute before she got hit. It’d be different if he wasn’t the one who pushed her down there in an obviously dangerous place (even though he was defending himself). As a security guard you should have more common sense than leave someone who is probably unconscious or at least extremely impaired in the middle of the road. Like if you’re a cop, you shouldn’t leave someone who’s handcuffed in your patrol car on train tracks, or you will be at fault when they get hit, despite the fact they are responsible for being in the back the patrol car in the first place.

Sure, that's why he was fired. Again, it's not his responsibility to make sure she makes it to bed, or even makes it home- his duty on the job is to keep the wrong people out and throw people out when they act up. He did his job with this woman, throwing her off of the property when she attacked him.

He didn't ruthlessly beat her unconscious in the road- in which case, I'd be crying "murder". The authorities don't know whether she was conscious or not- so it's safe to assume that he didn't know. You deal with a lot of drunks in your life, FurStrag? Ever do door work? Drunks do some really ridiculous shit, like playing dead before suddenly springing to their feet and hitting their head on an open car door, splitting their scalp to the bone (I had a good laugh at that one). So, when the idiot went down in the road, the bouncer is like "Let me get all of her stuff off of the property." You can see him kicking what looks like her belongings off of the sidewalk, toward her.

Do you think the club provided any kind of training to him? Do you think they gave him instructions as to how to handle a sloppy drunk who is passing out in the road? I'd bet the house that "No, he did not get any of that training". He was probably just told "Keep idiots off of the property and you'll get your paycheck". You're holding 3rd-world security guards to first-world standards... which is a good start in bringing the third world out of the dark ages, but it's apples and oranges in this particular case.

How are you doing, btw? Last time I talked to you, you were worked up about something, I think... maybe I'm thinking of someone else, w/e, hope you're doing well, whoever is reading this.

I don’t care what you have to say, his negligence got her murdered. In almost no situation is it acceptable for someone to actively leave a most likely injured/unresponsive person on the road. They had ample time to relocate her unconscious body, yet nothing happened and she died for that. A life was lost in such a senseless manner. I hope those dumb idiots are haunted by this night. Rules are written in blood for a reason and hopefully this business changes their practices to ensure this can’t happen again. Once is too many times.

The security guard still took advantage and instigated by kicking whatever was in her hand away.

Sad all around. She was being a belligerent drunk. She attacked the first bouncer for kicking over her drink. The second bouncer shoved her into the road and left her there. Shoving a drunk person down in the middle of the road and leaving them there is manslaughter at the least.

She had plenty of time to pick herself up. She used it crying and waiting for someone to do it for her

She was to damn drunk to be able to pick herself up are you kidding me. Have you ever been extremely intoxicated?

Whoever forced her to drink those drinks and get that drunk are the people who should be punished for this.

"Forced"... so she's getting 0% responsibility in all of this? :marseyconfused::marseyconfused:

i was making a point. people think that the bouncer should be required by law to take care of her because she made a night full of shit decisions. bouncer has nothing to do with her being drunk and has no responsibility here.

Anyone notice the car had his turn signal on and was changing lanes into the lane with all the people waving the car down? He probably wasn’t paying full attention, saw the group late and swerved out of the way, right into the woman laying down. Probably never saw her at all

In my opinion, I think the driver was focused on the crowd of people waving their arms around trying to slow down the car, and because they saw the crowd, they didn't see the female laying on the ground.

Moves the garbage out of the street but leaves the human…

idc of you’re acting belligerent and I have to knock you out, I’ll still in the least put ya in a bush or some grass instead of leave you in the road, that was a literal death sentence.

Hope the guard got charged.

The article says multiple times she was assaulted, as if she didn't attack the security guard from behind and continue attacking even after more security guards showed up.

Holy shit... it's a real life classic ethics class Trolley Problem. All the idiots on the sidewalk walked right into the lane the driver was trying to use to avoid hitting the girl on the road, forcing the driver to choose between swerving back into the middle lane and killing one person, or ploughing through the other three.

You know if them people didn't try to stop the car then the woman wouldn't have gotten hit... by the first car at least. That car was moving into the right lane and turn back into the center lane cause people were in the right lane. Not that its their fault for trying to stop the car but it did play a part in why she got hit.
