The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Karelia reported details of the fatal accident that occurred in Petrozavodsk late on April 22 at the intersection of Lenin Avenue and Kuibyshev Street. Recall that the driver of the Kia Sportage collided with the Renault, the driver of the second car was killed.
As it became known, the culprit of the accident is a 24–year-old resident of the Murmansk region. He does not have a driver's license and was driving under the influence of alcohol. In addition, it is known that the SUV does not belong to him, and the car was wanted.

A criminal case has been opened on the fact of the accident under paragraphs "a" and "b" of part 4 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (traffic violation resulting in death). The suspect has been detained.

KUALA LUMPUR: Firefighters are in the process of extracting the victims of a crash involving two military helicopters in Lumut today.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department said based on initial information, there were no survivors.
"There were 10 crew members in total. Based on preliminary information, there were no survivors.
"Firefighters are in the process of extracting the victims," a spokesperson told the New Straits Times.
The Malaysian Armed Forces helicopters were believed to have crashed in a mid-air collision over the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) base in Lumut this morning.
The helicopters, an Agusta Westland AW139 and a Eurcopter Fennec, had collided during a mid-air manoeuvre.
It is understood that both helicopters were undergoing formation training in conjunction with the Fleet Open Day scheduled to take place from May 3-5.

Dhanbad:
Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi's brother-in-law died in an accident in Dhanbad on Saturday. Rajesh Tiwari and his wife Sabita Tiwari, the sister of Mr Tripathi, were driving from Bihar's Gopalganj to Kolkata when the accident occurred on the Delhi-Kolkata NH-19 a little after 3 pm.
Tiwari died on the spot while his wife remains critical.
The highway crash was captured on CCTV. The Maruti Swift that Tiwari was driving whizzed past a woman waiting to cross the road and crashed into a divider as he lost control of the car, showed the footage from the site of the accident.
Ms Tiwari was taken to Shahid Nirmal Mahato Medical College in Dhanbad after the accident, and is currently under observation at the hospital. She has suffered a serious head injury, a CT scan has confirmed, according to the doctors.
The relatives of the Tiwaris had said that Mr Tripathi, the Mirzapur star, has been informed.

Motorcyclist Aasaf Mohammed, 29, died in an accident in Freeport on Monday morning.
Police said the tragedy happened around 11.30 am on Mission Road, a short distance from where he lived.
The police said a customer was driving out of Saharah Meat Market Ltd when Mohammed came into contact with the driver's side of the car.
He was thrown off the bike. landed on the road and died. No one else was injured.

A disturbing video of a bike-borne man being crushed to death by a school bus has come to light. The fatal accident that happened Monday morning was captured on CCTV and the victim has been identified as a 55-year-old school headmaster.
The accident happened in Sukhpura village of Uttar Pradesh's Ballia district. The deceased, identified as Arvind Kumar Upadhyay, was on his way to the Compositie Kanya Junior High School when the school bus hit his motorcycle. The victim fell on the road and the bus ran him over, killing him on the spot.
The school bus appears to be of St Xavier's School, according to the CCTV footage.
The bus driver did not stop the vehicle. In the video, it can be seen that the speed of the bus was low at the time of the accident. Even after Upadhyay came under the front wheel of the bus, the driver continued to run him over.
The police arrived at the accident spot and sent the body for post mortem. Following the incident, crowd gathered at the scene. The police reached the spot as soon as they received information and took control of the situation by taking the body into custody for necessary actions. Meanwhile, Upadhyay's relatives rushed to the scene and were deep distress over the tragedy.

A race car veered off the track and crashed into a crowd of spectators and race officials during an event in the town of Diyatalawa, Sri Lanka, on Sunday, killing seven people and injuring 20 others, officials told Bharatha Mallawarachi of the Associated Press.
The cause of the crash remains unclear. The report noted that 45,000 spectators were in attendance at the race circuit at a Sri Lankan military academy for the Fox Hill Supercross event, which was organized by the Sri Lankan army and Sri Lanka Automobile Sports.
Police spokesman Nihal Thalduwa said four officials were among the seven killed when the race car crashed into the crowd. He added that of the 20 being treated at the hospital, three were in critical condition.
The race was suspended following the accident, which occurred during the 17th out of 24 events scheduled. Thalduwa said police have opened an investigation into the crash.

A middle aged person was killed while his wife and son were injured in a road accident in Sunderbani area of district Rajouri this evening.
A police spokesman said that a car (Maruti), bearing registration number JK11E- 6989, driven by an unknown driver was on its way to Nowshera from Sunderbani. The rashly-driven vehicle when it reached Siot at about 6:30 pm, collided with a scooty bearing registration number JK11E -5589.
The scooty was being driven by one Rakesh Kumar (45), son of Om Prakash, resident of Chak Jaralan, Bagnoti in Tehsil Nowshera. His wife Sunita Devi and son, Swastik (10) were also traveling on the scooty with him. While scooty driver Rakesh died on the spot, both passengers were injured. They were shifted to SDH Sunderbani for treatment.

Constanza, Dominican Republic
Two men and a woman lost their lives in a spectacular traffic accident after a motorcycle collided with a truck at nightfall this Friday in the Arroyo Arriba sector of the municipality of Constanza, in this province.
The deceased lady responded to the name of Nicauli Hernández Veloz, 28 years old, resident in the Los Pomos sector, while the two men were identified as Francisco Rivas Hernández and José Peralta from Los Santos.
Hernández and De Los Santos died while receiving medical care at the Pedro Antonio Céspedes Hospital in Constanza.
Units from the Preventive Police and the Directorate of Traffic and Land Transportation Security (Digesett) arrived at the scene of the accident, and arrested the driver of the Toyota Tacoma truck.
The information being handled is that, supposedly, the driver of the truck had a nervous breakdown. The man is detained to be brought to justice.
