A 19 year-old man lost his life after being hit by a truck in Quetzaltenango, volunteer firefighters reported.
The incident occurred at noon on Monday, November 8 on Rodolfo Robles Street, which divides zones 1 and 3.
The lifeguards who came to the victim's aid reported that the pedestrian had ceased to exist.
The victim was identified as Vicente Fernando Lux Casimiro, 19.

A 14-year-old teenager died during a tragic accident this Sunday afternoon (19) in the Mangabeira neighborhood, in João Pessoa. According to witnesses, a couple was traveling on a motorcycle along Rua Alfredo Ferreira da Rocha when they were blocked by a car. The motorcycle driver lost control and collided with a pole.
Ana Clara was a passenger on the motorcycle and, according to the police, she was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. She received treatment from motorcycle teams from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu), but could not resist the severity of her injuries and died at the scene.
The boy who was driving the motorcycle is 19 years old and was taken to the Emergency and Trauma Hospital. The information was that the girl was related to “Pedro do Caminhão”, known in the region for being linked to politics.
