Born in Porto Alegre, in the southernmost state of Brazil, Cristiano Ferreira began to race motorcycles professionally in 2012. The following year he rode the number 84 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R for Equipe Carlos Barcelos in the GP Light class of the Moto 1000 GP championship. Dr. Kourkorian also deployed a cervical collar and, given Ferreira's critical condition, handed him for transportation to Hospital Geral de Pedreira, in the neighborhood of the same name. Meanwhile the race was restarted from its very beginning, with the two laps until then completed declared void.

On the way to the hospital Cristiano Ferreira suffered another cardiac arrest, was was reanimated by Dr. Ricardo Duprat. Ferreira was treated at the emergency wing of the Pedreira hospital, where he had a third cardiac arrest and, in spite of the best efforts of the clinic's medical team, passed away at 15h07 that same day. Moto 1000 GP organizers declared a three-day morning on his memory. News of Ferreira's death reached back to Interlagos as the programme was coming to a close, and as a sign of respect all podium ceremonies were cancelled.

A twenty-nine year old, Ferreira owned P. H. Daora, a bakery in Capão da Canoa, in Rio Grande do Sul - what earned him the nickname "Padeiro" ("The Baker"). He was a graduate of Universidade Luterana do Brasil at Torres. Ferreira was survived by his siblings Vagner Rodrigo and Andressa and by his girlfriend Alexandra Cappua Munhoz.

Richard was arrested in September of 2012 after assaulting a taxi driver and yelling at an officer. Once released he threatened to kill police, he also spend 2 months in military prison in 2013. Richard had mental health problems every since he was a child but never got it treated so he became more paranoid and started taking an excessive amount of weed and alcohol. Richard became obsessed with Scientology and started following it.

Richard had his car impounded after he was arrested and charged with pointing a knife at a notary who he accused of stealing his identity. When he got his car back he waited a week and the committed the attack.

On May 18th 2017, at 11:53am, Richard made a u turn onto the sidewalk that connected the west side of Seventh Ave, and 42nd Street. Richard then floored it running over as many people as he could.

He continued for 3 blocks straight before crashing to traffic bollards at 45th and Seventh. Richard then left his car and started attacking people.

He first attacked a traffic agent then went on to have a scuffle with other people, many people came and detained him. While arrested he said "I wanted to kill them". Then the car caught on fire so the FDNY had to put it out.

After the incident Police found out that Richard ingested phencyclidine (angles dust) and was hoping for a suicide by cop.
