https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Wang_Yue
Wang Yue (Chinese: 王悦; pinyin: Wáng Yuè), also known as "Little Yue Yue" (Chinese: 小悅悅), was a two-year-old Chinese girl who was run over by two vehicles on the afternoon of 13 October 2011 in a narrow road in Foshan, Guangdong. As she lay bleeding and unconscious on the road for more than seven minutes, at least 18 passers-by skirted around her body, ignoring her.[1] She was eventually helped by a female rubbish scavenger and sent to a hospital for treatment, but succumbed to her injuries and died eight days later. The closed-circuit television recording of the incident was uploaded onto the Internet, and quickly stirred widespread reaction in China and overseas.
Many commentators believed this to be indicative of the moral decline in contemporary Chinese society.[2] However, other commentators credited the high-profile Peng Yu incident in 2006,[3] in which someone who helped an injured accident victim was accused of having injured the victim himself and was forced to pay for the victim's medical bill, as having caused people to fear getting in trouble for helping in Wang's case.[4][1] Several regional Good Samaritan laws were passed following the incident and in 2017 a new national Good Samaritan law came into force to prevent such situations through the country.

excerpt from article:
'Boy run over when he was looking for a toy under a car was 'almost' unharmed. It is presumed that the minor did not suffer serious injuries after the accident. Surveillance cameras captured the moment when a vehicle ran over a three-year-old boy who was playing in the street, and despite the fact that the unit passed completely over his body, the minor was allegedly unharmed in the accident. According to the recording released by the red note journalist, Carlos Jiménez , the events occurred at 2:00 p.m. last Tuesday, August 16, on a street in Mexico City. The video shows the moment when a private white vehicle reverses to park, while a child runs to the rear of the unit and bends down to try to grab what appears to be a toy. Subsequently, the vehicle reverses again and hits the minor, who tries to get up quickly, but is hit by the movement of the tires, which passed completely over his body.'

Malaysia - January 2019. 20-year-old college student, Yun Peng, died after his car was knocked off the Penang Bridge by a reckless driver. A dashcam video from a nearby car showed a black Toyota Vios knocking the rear of Yun Peng’s Mazda CX-5, causing it to flip thrice across three lanes of the bridge before plunging into the water. Yun Peng’s body was in the driver's seat with the safety belt still fastened.
A 140-person search and recovery team only managed to lift out the white Mazda two days after the incident, due to choppy seas and unfavorable weather. The car was submerged 15m underwater at Pier 34 of the bridge, leading towards Perai.
The driver of the black Toyota Vios, M. Vaitheswaran, 21, is accused of driving recklessly and causing the death of Yun Peng. The charge carries a maximum of 10 years' jail, a maximum fine of RM20,000 (S$6,700), or both upon conviction. Vaitheswaran pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The latest news on the case is that on September 29th, 2021, a court ordered the 23-year-old former hairstylist M. Vaitheswaran to enter his defense over reckless driving and killing of the 20-year-old college student in the accident on the Penang Bridge two years ago. Sessions court judge said the prosecution has proved prima facie(first impression) in the case and the accused would next be asked to enter his defense. The judge then set Oct 28 and 29 for three witnesses, namely the accused, his mother, and a medical specialist, to give their sworn evidence. Vaitheswaran faces a maximum of 10 years in jail, an RM20,000 fine, or both if found guilty.
Yun Peng had asked his father's permission to use the car, to drive to his friend’s birthday party on the island. Yun Peng’s funeral was held at the Berapit Chinese Cemetery. About 200 of his family members and friends were at his family home for the religious rites and to pay him their last respects.
