So, I'm coming here from reddit as a moderator for other subs with admin contact. I love the breaking realization, and explainable humanity of the content.

Ya'll are so fucking stupid though. I made a comment on my alt account right before GOREDEJOUR was banned, on a thread that listed all the banned gore sites.

"It's you people who are tagging all the banned sites and aggregating information in one place so admins can act swiftly." The post had tagged all the recently deleted subs, and my observations over activity show that this was the one that burned GOREDEJOUR.

Turns out, I was right. less than 24 hours after my observation, the admins deleted the sub.

Well, here we are.

You know who you are. If you've ever mass tagged gore subreddits, you are the perpetrator.

I was just wondering what other people of the gore community ever heard, I heard a video of some kid crying while her mother was murdered in front of her. I just want to know what other stuff people have heard that messed them up.

I know this may seem unrelated but it depends on the gore that is seen, many police officers die and I'm suprised that there isn't that much gore relating to police officers.

I know this isn't related to gore but I just want to know and there is no rules talking about this stuff and I hope that they allow these types of questions to be allowed. I will go first, i'm pro police.

It's been asked which type of videos give you nightmares. So what kind of videos do you actually like watching?

I personally like compilations of industrial accidents. I worked on a factory years before where the safety conditions were dismal. I feel lucky having moved on from that job and appreciate life more when I see videos of the same machines I used but didn't kill me.

Tbh I think the mods are doing a great job. Some might say they shouldn't be too involved or blah blah blah. But if we didn't have them the site would be in chaos. Now that those child videos were removed too I think the site is back on track and still great. Regardless y'all stay safe and have a nice day. I'd love to hear your opinions down in the comments.

Recently, videos have not been playing for me and didn't give it much thought. I tried troubleshooting, uninstalling then installing my browser, then tried vpn. Videos actually work now. Does anyone have a similar situation? I wanted to know why that is. Was it because of my location?

I’ve grown up in the medical industry, (still in the medical industry at 45)

I have loved true crimes since I was a kid watching Unsolved Mysteries and 911 back in the day.

I am also an empathetic/sympathetic “feeling” type of person. I love helping people however I can.

I have no idea why I felt the urge to want to connect with gore sites…maybe due to the fact that court cases and those shows always censor the “gnarly” shit that some individuals want to see the aftermath of.

For me, I’ve had to ease myself in. In the beginning a few months ago, when I actually used my Reddit for the first time…i was touring sites, ended up in Morbid Reality, NFR, Crime Scene Photos, Crime Documentaries, Documenting Reality, to Eyeblech, HMFT, MMC (right at the moment of the Reddit Purge) 😂 I would have to watch through my fingers at times, but now I can generally watch them without a physical reaction.

Of course, there are still some that I can’t or won’t watch.

I don’t find it interesting to see children that are or have been suffering. A child being hurt from an accident is one thing, but,

Being a wretched, waste of oxygen, piece of dog shit, that does get excited or is actively hunting these things down TO get excited….

It makes me question the type of individual you are and what “Real Life” shit you are doing &/or are fantasizing of doing

Seeing a lot of discussion on the topic of child & animal related content and where to draw the line.

I understand that this content in particular is usually pretty rough and not what everyone wants to see.

I also agree with most people that anyone excited by this content needs their brain whisking.

However...

Given that the content is viewed with the same morbid curiosity as executions, torture, beheadings etc. I think this type of content could/should be shown here.

I appreciate the risk of getting this fantastic site into hot water and ruining the fun for everyone. I understand there was recently a problem with a certain mixtape.

Perhaps users should have to manually enable this content so others aren't unwillingly exposed to it. Also maybe these posts could have no comments or more strict moderation if there are too many issues. Idk

The mods here are smart and most of us are pretty decent people so I'm sure there's a reasonable compromise to be found, rather than an all-out ban.

Maybe I'm underestimating how badly this could go vs. how many people are actually interested. I can only speak for myself.

I'm just not of the opinion that (non sexual) child or animal content is any worse than the more brutal content involving adults.

I look at gore because it's interesting and honestly its addicting to look at. seeing how the human body can so easily be ripped apart gives me an insight of how lucky we are to be at the top. but apparently some people get a kick outta it? I've seen people laughing at dead bodies and I just want to know what's going through your mind??

I remember just before the Russian Invasion, a lot of people were anticipating to see hundreds and hundreds of high quality death videos coming from the war in Ukraine.

How come we rarely see any footage? There's a few dozen quality videos from the conflict but nowhere near as much as everyone expected. Any speculations for why?
