I was feelin kinda funny - aiyyo something's wrong...I can't talk, I don't exist, I'm a dead man
I woke up to a tune on the radio, check it
An old church hymn behind a breakbeat record (yeahhh)
Sounded kinda funky so I pumped it, right
But rudely interrupted by a neighborhood street fight
When will you motherfuckers quit?
Every motherfuckin mornin it's the same ol bullshit
I peeped to see the thrashin
Some nigga runnin with a butcher knife, screamin out "assassin!"
He ran by a friend of mine, it bugged him
His eyes showed fear, that's the reason why he stuck him
Anyway, that's how I seen it
You rarely see a nigga kill another nigga,
And he doesn't mean it
So that's the way I took it
Anyway the boy is dead, no matter how you look at it
And life goes on.
I was feelin kinda funny - aiyyo something's wrong
I went to take a shower duke
Bumped into the wall and I smooth went through
Now I'm thinkin I'm in trouble
I reached to touch my face, but I couldn't feel my beard stubble
I screamed, "oh lord help!"
Looked into the mirror and I couldn't see myself
I called up my mom's house
And realized somethin was wrong, no doubt
She picked up, said "hello" in a low tone
I said, "hey ma!" and she hung up the telephone
Sick and lookin weary
My cousin walks in, I said, "what's up? " but he didn't hear me
Started packin up my shit g
Looked at a picture of me, put it down and said, "rest in peace"
Realizin what he said man
I can't talk, I don't exist, I'm a dead man
Yeah I guess I'm dead right?
I'm goin to the cemetary to peep out action's gravesite
And sure enough, there it is
My mom and girl talkin, holdin on to brad's kids
I look into the box g
Son of a bitch! I don't believe it, that's me!
Momma kissed me on my head
Aww shit. I'm dead (I'm dead)

An 18-year-old woman, identified as E.O., has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the stabbing death of 16-year-old H.T. in the Loop.
The arrest was made after a pastor from a West Side church contacted the police, reporting that E.O. expressed a desire to turn herself in.
E.O., a resident of Oak Lawn, was taken into custody without incident during a meeting with the pastor just after 5 p.m. Wednesday. She was scheduled for a detention hearing at the Leighton Criminal Court Building.
Around 11:20 p.m. Tuesday, police officers, originally called to a disturbance at a Loop Taco Bell, were directed by an individual to a nearby incident in the first block of West Van Buren Street.
There, they discovered H.T. on the ground, with stab wounds to her chest. Quick action was taken, with officers applying a chest seal to her injuries.
The area was still populated with witnesses, as a significant altercation had taken place. One person provided the suspect's name and informed the police that H.T. had engaged in an argument with her.
It was during this dispute that the suspect brandished a knife, stabbing H.T. twice in the chest before making her escape. Tragically, H.T. , who was rushed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, was pronounced dead early Wednesday.
C.C., H.T.'s mother, shared with the Sun-Times on Wednesday that her daughter had recently commenced her junior year at UCAN Academy on the South Side. H.T. was described as “a lovable person” and the devoted mother of a 2-year-old son, whom C.C. has now taken the responsibility of raising. She expressed, “I just want her remembered as a good momma and a good auntie and a good daughter. This right here just hurts.”
UCAN also issued a statement on Wednesday, extending their heartfelt condolences to H.T.'s family and her cherished son. Tragically, H.T. was the second child C.C. lost to violence in Chicago within less than a year. C.C. revealed, “I just buried my oldest son last year — her older brother — and now I've got to bury my daughter this year. There's just too much violence out here.”
