I believe it depends on the snake. Some can eat dead prey but others will only eat live prey as they would mistake a dead one for an object instead (this is what I've been told so don't take it as fact as I could be wrong)

Reminds me of TRYING to cancel my fucking Doordash (food delivery) account.
I went through a lot of trouble asking them to close my account - and the assholes didn't.
And I spend WAY TOO GOD DAMNED MUCH on way too expensive food.
So I think the only way to get them to stop delivering food to me is to shoot a few of the delivery drivers.
