I just don’t get why humans do this to each other. I think I watch these videos because I want to understand why so I can understand how to prevent senseless violence. After so many years of watching videos and disturbing YouTube, etc I understand less and less.

Humans tend to hurt each other.... because it's just part of us I guess... animals kill each other and we're pretty much an animal but more advanced... we've been killing since stone age...we kill to survive...we kill to protect the people we love...we kill when we need to kill...but now as we evolved, we had evolved simpyahthy...we now show emotions when we kill another human...but sadly...humans tend to numb those simpyahthy.... It is what it is... don't try to stop it... it's just life

Be thankful it's a relatively rare trait. The urge to act on it, at least. I think most people (primarily men) fantasise in some way about ultraviolence, whether that's acts of revenge, random carnage, vigilantism, even heroism, whatever. It's part of the psyche.

What's really scary is that a lot of these torture and execution tactics were actually taught to them by the United States. Essentially we built a bunch of schools throughout Latin America to teach people how to kill and torture communists and people like Pinochet and the contras graduated from there.
