Maybe I just don't hang around with the right crowds, but find it hard to believe someone would suddenly intentionally stab a friend with a knife over a piece of bread being thrown and then instantly act surprised that they stabbed someone intentionally with a knife and then look sad and help the person they just stabbed intentionally with a knife.
