CEBU, Philippines — A motorist was killed after he collided with a Toyota Vios vehicle while traveling on H. Mall Road, Barangay Pajac, Lapu-Lapu City yesterday morning.Police Chief Master Sergeant Rhymond Sosmena, investigator of the Traffic Enforcement Unit of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office (LCPO) identified the deceased as Roger Cavan Valiente, Jr., 30-years-old, married, from Sitio Abuno, Barangay Pajac, City. in Lapu-Lapu.
Sosmena said that another car overtook the victim and it ran into a Toyota Vios driven by Norhan Inrahim Manongiring, 24 years old, from Sitio Matumbo, Barangay Pusok in that city.
Due to the force of the impact of the collision, the victim fell to the road and sustained serious injuries.
The victim was quickly taken to the Mactan Doctors Hospital in Barangay Basak in that city but it was declared by Dr. Sonny Alorvida was dead when he arrived at the hospital.
Sosmena added that Manongiring is currently in their custody.

The 19-year-old son of the councilor of Alto Boa Vista , 1,064 km from Cuiabá, Nivaldo Levino de Oliveira died after an accident on BR-070, in Barra do Garças , 512 km from Cuiabá, this Saturday (16). The victim was identified as Leonardo Augusto Levino de Oliveira.
Local security cameras recorded the moment the victim lost control of the motorcycle he was riding and hit a tree at a junction on the highway.
g1 spoke to the victim's uncle, Servulo Augusto Pereira Neto, who said that Leonardo studied veterinary medicine and was a young man with many dreams.
“He was a young man who was very loved by all his family and friends, he had dreams of graduating as a veterinarian and working in the field in our region. He dreamed of making his parents and family proud,” he says.
According to the Fire Department, another victim, aged 18, was also in the vehicle at the time of the accident and was injured. The young people were taken to the municipality's Emergency Care Unit (UPA), but Leonardo succumbed to his injuries and died.

A 19-year-old young man, identified only
as Guilherme, died after a collision in front of the São José store, in the Santa Maria da Codipi neighborhood, north of Teresina, capital of Piauí.

Two teenagers lost their lives in a traffic accident on the road that connects Popayán with the municipality of El Tambo, Cauca.The tragedy happened on the sector known as La Chorrera of said road corridor.
"There were four boys who were practicing the famous Gravity Bike on this road when they ended up crashing against a dump truck", said witnesses.
Two of the minors died on the spot while the other two were taken, badly injured, to the Susana López de Valencia hospital.

Businessman from Rybnik - Damian Ogrodowski - was driving in his Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupé C167 on DW 941 towards center of Ustroń, Silesian Voivodeship, Poland.
He reached very high speed (not provided by the police) and crashed into a trailer of Renault truck. After that, Renault crashed into Toyota and Toyota crashed into MAN truck.
Damian died on spot. Woman driving Toyota was taken to the hospital.
Ogrodowski was the owner of Grupa Ogrodowski D-Art. It's a construction company specialazing in road investments.
