Not crazy at all. He just grazed the head, and on the right side. Apart from blood loss a hit to the right side of the brain should be more easily survivable as many functions are actually located in the left hemisphere, including consciousness, speech, right hand etc. If the bullet were to enter the skull the shock wave would probably destroy the brain though (not medical advice)

In fact, scientists aren’t 100% sure where consciousness comes from, but it is assumed in the hindbrain and frontal cortex. Residing mostly in pineal gland (again, only speculation)
