On March 15, Police Lieutenant Thosaporn Yingngamkaew, Deputy Inspector (Investigation), Map Ta Phut Police Station, Rayong, filed a report in the case of an iron door falling on two male employees, causing death and injury at 10:00 a.m. on March 14th. The incident occurred within a company in Map Ta Phut Subdistrict, Mueang District, Rayong Province.

The incident occurred while the two employees were performing their duties at Gate 5 at the back of the factory. The sliding door is a large steel door, it fell on the bodies of the two employees until causing the death of 1 employee from being hit in the chest by a steel door. The other had a broken leg and dislocated shoulder. He was immediately taken to Chaloem Phrakiat Hospital, Map Ta Phut.

Later, reporters traveled to the scene of the incident to investigate. It was found that the door where the incident occurred was the fifth door at the back of the factory. Facing the sea, it is a steel door about 2.5 meters high and about 5 meters long.

From asking officials of the company where the incident occurred it was revealed that the employee who was injured, having a broken leg, is still recovering in the hospital. Chaloem Phrakiat Hospital, Map Ta Phut. As for the deceased, Mr. Jakkrit Chuayrat, age 29, the family took the body back to perform traditional merit-making at Huang Hin Temple, Chakbok Subdistrict, Ban Khai District, Rayong Province. The cause is still under joint investigation. with police officers. The company took responsibility. and took care of compensation for the family.
