MALIBU, CA (November 15, 2022) β One person was killed in a fiery crash on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu Monday afternoon.
The fatal crash happened around 12:30 p.m. on November 14, near Kanan Dume Road. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriffβs Department, the victim had recently left rehab and stole a black 2017 Lexus NX. After stealing the vehicle, they accelerated at a high rate of speed and collided with a motorcycle and a pickup truck.
The impact caused the Lexus to overturn on its roof and burst into flames, killing the suspect.
Meanwhile, paramedics took the motorcyclist to a hospital in unknown condition.
It is unclear if anyone in the truck was injured.

I wonder how much emotional impact situations like that have on cars' owners. These more emotional ones, of course. They had nothing to do with their car being stolen, resulting in one death (here maybe two? if unknown condition), but thinking processes aren't always logical with 'Oh, I could have done something different...'.
