As far as I remember he had better odds than a YouTuber I watch called Kentucky Ballistics who had a .50 cal rifle explode in his face. He literally had to shove his thumb into his neck hole to try to stop the bleeding. Broke his nose and a lot of his orbital socket. Part of the gun severed his jugular. He's alive and shooting bigger rifles than the one that almost killed him.
