This has to be one of the more epic aftermath photos I've seen in awhile. Sure, it's tragic, most deaths are.

If you had to vote for the reasoning of his incompetence within a apparently dangerous field of work, what would you say was the reasoning for it?

1. Minimal (4 hours or less) sleep the night before

2. He was thinking about a girl and/or relationship

3. He had recently found a site called WPD and strangely enough he could not turn away....leading to zero sleep before his early ass work shift!

It is so hard to comprehend all the complexity of that mans life, all his thoughts, all his memories are now just a mushed pile of flesh on a tarmac.

The wagon wheel effect, an illusion in which a spoked wheel (or propeller in this case) appears to rotate differently from its true rotation. This is dependent on the framerate of the video and the speed the wheel was going.

Damn! The propeller wasn't moving fast and I wasn't expecting his head to explode.

The shutter speed of the camera is causing the illusion that it’s moving slow when it is in fact presumably moving at a regular RPM.

There’s a video on YouTube of a helicopter that looks like it is floating and it’s probably the best example of the shutter speed thing I mentioned
