This is what smartphones do... They give people the ability to focus on something other than reality and their surroundings, any time any place. Because real life isn't as interesting as what's on a screen, it creates addiction and the inability to function without it. It was a mistake to make it possible for anything out there to be available to you with such a small, portable, convenient device. A press of a button and you lose awareness of anything around you.
