If there is God he's messed up in the head, because how cruel these deaths of innocent children are.

You referring to original sin, and all that?

i mean, i don't think that Xtian theology does justice to the idea, of "original sin", so i don't want to reinforce that stupidity. but, yes, within classic judeo-axioms of The Creator being intrinsically benevolent and good, there are a few factors at play in understanding how there can be ultimate justice despite what we might perceive as unjust. Some of those factors are sins from a previous life, righteous suffering for the sake of others, and repairing the Sin of Adam. These all carry a deep rooted understanding that our lives are intertwined, all part of one spiritual body (extensions of Adam's soul), where surgery on one part of the body might be necessary to heal another part of the body. This brings together the concept of sin and repair carrying over from past lives, between the righteous and not-so-righteous, and between Adam and his descendents. Axiomatically, God's justice is perfect, if we could see the whole picture. Also, this carries itself both ways, in that no sin is left unpunished and no good deed is left unrewarded (despite @CLiTPEELER deleting my coins, she'll get her idolatrous just deserts)

you can see this exchange here, i think i wrote it better: https://watchpeopledie.tv/h/aftermath/post/39431/cw-child-ran-over-by-a/975130#context

It’s a devil’s work so that we blame God for everything 🙄😒

The god you speak of created him, let him go bad and now allows him to "tempt his creation". He doesn't need to do this. Given his omniscience and omnipotence, he has the ability to stop it, but doesn't, he had the knowledge to prevent this situation from ocurring but he didn’t. The devil can only work within the parameters of your god he is not fully autonomous

Yeah but like parents producing black sheep or evil kids even though parents are kind and good. You can’t prevent that. We all have free-will. Even evil angels

I read an interesting theory that he had a whole character arc and an ego death. It's actually quite fascinating. Also, he claims that his name (which he actually doesn't even say in scripture) means "jealous." I don't really think he is comparable to people though and I'd have to do more theological studies before making an opinion but the ego death theory has stuck in my mind since I heard about it
