Even if this guy was successful, he wouldn't ever be high enough to see the Earth as a whole (aka see it's full shape), he would have only went as far as those weather balloon with go-pros that people used to release into the air a few years back.
Why is this important? Because this wouldn't prove or disprove anything to flat earthers.
I will say, it must've been terrifying for him since his only measure of safety, the parachute, just flew away from the rocket, I am no physicist or rocket designer so I don't know how that even happened, aren't parachutes attached to your body?

I don't think hes going high enough to have time to eject and use a parachute. Plus, this looks like a very low budget operation where there isn't even an ejection system. It is basically a capsule attached to a source of propulsion and nothing else.
Also a parachute will help save the rocket for future use

The point was to prove it to himself without relying on something that can be faked. His own experience with his own eyes.
And he did, and that's why I think he CHOSE to not use the parachute.

A lot of those Flat Earthers do admit the weather balloon stuff to be true, they just think either the cameras make it look round or they say "it's not high enough!". Him going to at best the stratosphere and recording it/seeing it with his own eyes will just lead to flat earthers to say "That isn't high enough!" or "liar!"
