On December 7th 2023 an eight grader shot up Gymnasium No. 5 in the city of Bryansk, killing one and injuring five using her father's pump action shotgun before ending her own life. According to local media one of the injured is in crictical condition.

I shouldn't even be surprised anymore that some adults do not own proper locking mechanisms for their weapons and choose not to store firearms in a safe, but for some reason, I still just can't believe it. It's such a sensible investment when you have both weapons and children.
