This is a definite death + such a bad way to go. Crushed + alive & experience the brutal pain minutes before death? Yikes! I'm amazed she didn't go unconscious. I went unconscious once when both my arms broke kinda like a defense mechanism of brain to shut you the fuck up.

How did your arms break?

Was a victim of hit & run. Some douche rear ended my motorcycle & dragged me. I was in riding gear but it wasn't enough for such an accident. It was meant to save me in case of just a crash.

I am very sorry to hear that. Did you heal well?

Thanks.

I healed pretty ok. I can't rotate my left wrist more than 45 degrees. It's currently sitting tight because of 3 titanium plates & 27 screws 🤷‍♂️ Can't lift weights & at some angles it just hurts like a bitch. Doc advised not to lift anything more than 5 KG. And this happened 6 years ago.

Wow, that's a while ago. Do you mind if I ask what the pain was like? If you can't remember or don't want to I get that. I like to write but have been lucky enough to have never broken a bone before. And how long was your original recovery time? Like how long until the bones had been healed?

On a scale of 10 the pain afterward was 11+. All I remember is seeing my left arm dangle like a broken twig that's still attached cos of a very thin strip of the twig & in my case my skin held the broken bones inside. Since I was in riding gear I believe that's the reason the bones didn't pop out the skin as the gear held everything at place. After getting operated on both the arm I gotta say the right arm which was dislocated at the elbow hurt more than the left arm which was actually broken. But right arm healed pretty quick of max 1 year. But the left arm is still screwed like I mentioned earlier it's got no power in it more than a 5 year old kid. I can't hold a plate in my left arm & eat peacefully without having a awkward body position & pain in the arm after 5-10 minutes. All in all dislocation > completely broken bones. Hairline fractures are fine too. They heal up without an issue. I have 2 crushed & moved back knuckles in my left & a split knuckle bone in my right index. None of those hurt though cos now they have become a normal body part in me. But the broken arm hurts & it's mostly because of the internally placed plates & screws. I would say the bone is healed now but there's no strength. I gotta get the plates removed & then restart lifting weights, gaining function of the arm to recover better.

I had been gone for bit, but thank you so much for answering. It is a brilliant insight and I am very thankful you could share it with me. I will continue to hope I never break a bone, 22 and going strong. I hope you've been able to get further along the route of recovery in this time it's taken me to respond. I hope the pain is also better and that you don't struggle so much to eat.
