Why don't they ever pull these bodies back down and ship them to the home country or something? Leagues and leagues of bodies are littered on the mountain, wtf? That's horrid. Pay the sherpas to pull the bodies down.

It's more likely that anyone going up to retrieve a body would themselves die. You already have to carry a shitload of stuff up there to not die, but to then drag a body with you is a waste of resources.

If they can, they do. Everest takes a significant amount of skill as a mountaineer to survive, as well as a significant amount of equipment that you have to carry yourself. A body on top of that is often too much.
Climbers will often cover the bodies with their respective country's flag or build a simple cairn from stones if they're able to, others will push the body down the mountain out of view so they can rest in piece.
Personally, were I to die on the mountain I'd rather be left where I fell or pushed out of the way. Nobody else should die to retrieve me.
