Man's Corpse Retrieved After Being Swallowed by 23ft Reticulated Python

(Apparent) Context: In Sulawesi, Indonesia On March 25th, 2017, Akbar Salubiro, 25, went missing after setting off to harvest palm oil. 2 days later, police found a huge 23ft long reticulated python they suspected had swallowed the man. His body was found inside the snake after cutting it open.

USA had a invasive Burmese python in florida you guys just lucky not this species (reticulated python) that being invasive in florida.... this animal could reach 33ft (30ft is so damn rare but 25-28footer sometimes get caught by civillians in SEA) few months ago 26.2ft retic has caught in indonesia and malaysia, the head of snakes 2x bigger than men's palm

Yeah if you live in a country with those things.. ALWAYS be on the look out and never go into bushes or tall grass/cut all of it.

Also always have a knife at least. But in those countries usually you can get a firearm easily too so that's better.

Edit: I looked it up a bit and I'm surprised that news articles in English seem to report his name as Akbar Salubiro. Now I understand the confusion. Also, I wanted to add that this is a classic incident for Indonesians. I think almost all Indonesians here should be familiar with this case and it's one of the more well known cases of a person dying from being swallowed by a python worldwide.
