Some sources say it's 1996 Sanggauledo, some say it's 2001 Sampit, some say it's 1999 Sambas, while some Chinese sources say that's a "budak cina" (1998 Jakarta Riot)

Oh fuck, what a nostalgia that piece of art is.

Anyways, that's just that "thing" (of which happened in Sampit, which is.. early to mid-2001). Jakarta is way urbanized and rarely had any pitches of greenery as shown in the background of the photo.

Also, that Sampit "thing" (we call it a tragedy, as you'd know) also made it clear that - the ones who wore red are Madurese, and are yellow/orange are Dayak.

Also the Chinese are more paler than.. others - here. So there's that!
