AUGUSTOW, POLAND – JULY, 2016 Patrycja, 17, went go-karting with her family. However, she did not follow the safety rules and did not wear a helmet. Her long hair got caught in the moving parts of the engine during the ride. The incident completely tore the skin on her head. She was left scalped.
Her sister and father gave her first aid. They stated that the go-kart operator did not even have a first aid kit on site.
When she was taken to the hospital, she underwent surgery, during which doctors sewed her scalp back on. But Patrycja will still suffer lifelong consequences.
Her sister testified that Patrycja had been growing her hair for 14 years and intended to donate it to charity for sick children.

Oh trust me I have lol. Ever seen a wad of hair stuck in the wheels of a shopping cart? Some kid with long hair learned a very painful lesson. I see kids lying down on the carrier at the bottom of the cart and the next thing you know you see the parent suddenly stop and an inconsolably wailing kid who just lost a chunk of hair now stuck in the wheels of the cart. I was a customer service manager at Walmart many years ago and shit like this happens more frequently than one might like to think.
