It’s been awhile since I’ve looked at the data…but from what I remember (in the US) stranger homicide & violence is rare but men are at much higher risk than women. It contradicts the narrative that β€œall men” are dangerous and that women live in constant fear because we’re constantly being hunted like prey. πŸ™„

That’s interesting, i thought I knew people often are murdered by someone they already know but not the difference with men and women. I wonder if with men it’s because of anger/testosterone moments.

Men being killed by strangers is something that is a somewhat new trend... 2020 was the first year where a man was more likely to be killed by a stranger then an acquaintance or someone he kinda knew....
