Mother was killed by a truck while trying to buy gas at a shop.

MUSI RAWAS - A traffic accident claimed lives in Musi Rawas (Mura) Regency, South Sumatra.

The motorbike driven by 2 women from Suro Village, Muara Beliti District, collided with a Fuso four-wheeled vehicle.

One victim died on the spot with injuries to the head. The contents of the victim's head were also spilled out and scattered on the road. Meanwhile, another victim suffered a broken leg.

Suro Village Secretary (Sekdes), Edi, confirmed the incident when confirmed.

The incident occurred on Jalan Lintas Sekayu-lubuklinggau, precisely in front of Suro Vocational School in Hamlet 1, Suro Village, Muara Beliti District, on Thursday (6/6/2024).

"It's true, it happened this morning at around 09.15 WIT," said Edi, Thursday (06/06/2024).

Edi said that the victims were women from Suro Village, namely Homsiah, aged around 53 years and Nur Hayati, aged around 46 years.

"The victim who died was Homsiah, while Nur Hayati suffered a broken left leg," he said.

Chronology.

The chronology of the incident began when the green Hino truck with registration number BG 8195 NX driven by Selamet drove from Muara Beliti Village towards Tuah Negeri District.

Arriving in front of the Suro Vocational School, Suro Village, the car was about to overtake the green Honda Supra Fit motorbike with registration number BM 4198 QC, driven by Nurhayati who was riding with Homsiah.

"This motorbike was a pillion, so Nurhayati was the driver and Homsiah (who died) was the passenger," he said.

However, when he was about to overtake, the truck hit the victim's motorbike, causing the victim to fall.

Unfortunately, when he fell, victim Homsiah's head was crushed by the rear left tire of the car.

"As a result of this incident, the victim Homsiah died on the spot, because his head was crushed by a crush.

"Meanwhile, the driver, Nurhayati, suffered an injury to his leg," he stressed.

It is currently suspected that the accident occurred due to negligence and lack of caution by the driver of the green tronton truck, which caused the cyclist to have a traffic accident.

"Currently, the driver and evidence, namely the victim's car and motorbike, have been secured at the Musi Rawas Police Headquarters," he concluded.
