20 year old man and his 18 year old girlfriend were both shot dead in his apartment in Dias D'Ávila, Bahia. Neighbors said that three gunmen arrived, kicked in the door and opened fire with no warning or discussion. The man was killed instantly, but the young woman was heard screaming by people all the way down the hall, though she was silenced as well after a few more shots were fired. The gunmen departed, leaving the door open and the corpses lying atop one another in a pool of blood.
No suspects were announced and no motive was publicly attributed, but the young man had at least five drug-related charges on his record so that is a pretty good bet for why they both wound up dead.
