Why even waste medical supplies on someone who very clearly isn't going to make it, I mean he didn't even wanna make it that's why he tried to off himself in the first place, so my question is why not just end it for him?

You can't assume he's going to die from that. People with similar injuries HAVE survived.

Yea no most people who survived shotgun shots had either most of the pellets miss or were hit in the skull and the momentum was halted resulting in a vegetable of a person since most of their brain matter is fucked.

Good point.. and he would clearly have one more reason to kill himself if he had survived. Would be crazy to think, he would change his mind after he lost his face... on top all his problems beforehand.

you cant just pronounce someone dead unless its certain, like decapitation or venous pooling is noted. You certainly cant let someone die just cause suicide is suspected. You have a duty to treat and if you neglect it expect to get sued
