This comes up a lot but no, it's very important to kill the animal. Apex predators don't kill and eat humans because there's a behavioural wall in the way, it's like they've just not figured it out yet, and when they do you can't put the genie back in the bottle. What you end up with is an extremely dangerous animal that has suddenly woken up to the fact that it's surrounded by abundant easy prey. The Champawat Tiger is a good example, having killed 436 people before it was hunted down and stopped, all because it killed one person and altered its behaviour.
The change doesn't happen easily though which is fortunate. In the case of this video is was human stupidity. There was a meat market nearby and they were just dumping organs and other meat waste into the sea at this spot despite it being popular with swimmers. They were literally baiting them.

We are wayyy overpopulated, boohoo some shark ate a dumb defenseless bald ape that wanted to have fun and goof off in their territory, we kill enough sharks as it is. Maybe my land locked opinion, but I can't understand the desire to swim in the ocean. Boggles my mind. Splashing around on the beach has it's own dangers but fun nevertheless, but out there in the waves, fuck no.

that tiger hunted humans because she literally had no other choice. She ironically was wounded by a shot from a hunter earlier in her life, which made her unable to hunt her usual prey.

I'm saying sharks do not attack humans except for in cases of mistaken identity with prey animals like seals or turtles, or in unique situations like this where the water was baited. Once they start, they don't stop. If you don't kill the shark while you can it will kill more people, and if you don't catch it right away and let it escape you're fucked, you won't find it again until it kills someone. You have a short window of time where a decision has to be made between the life of one shark or the life of (at the bare minimum) one human.
